Finally got our first snow and I brought out the beast. Without question, this is the most powerful snowblower I’ve ever used. Basically, nothing gets in the way without being fired out the chute & a long way. We had a good dose of very wet and heavy, dripping snow. Most blowers were straining hard just to throw a short spout five or 7 feet. The 1432 blasted through it with little effort and threw that snow all the way across to the sidewalk on the other side of the street. As matter of fact the snow flew high enough where you needed to look up high in the air to watch the snow shoot across. Can’t wait to see what it will do with powdery snow. Believe me, It easily looks like 60+ feet is no exaggeration!

Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. kzfaq.infoUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

Really outstanding job of explaining the transmission differences. I think a lot more consumers will understand that in order to make their decision. I love this machine! I’ve seen it blast through large piles of compacted and petrified snow when no smaller machine could get anywhere with it. I typically go with a larger machine for several reasons. I often help clear neighbors driveways, but in my region of the north, we really don’t know what to expect for our winter. We may have a sudden 2 foot blast of heavy snow, or a mild winter. This year, nearly 7 feet of snow in a month and a half. Plows tend to build large heavy walls at the end of driveways that become concrete in a hurry. I want to get the job done as quickly as possible, help out my neighbors and be back in the warm house drinking cocoa. Spending all day at hard labor because you’re under gunned is bulls**t!

Nice machine and review! My only peeves with the newer Toro Power Max HD units are the side discharge oil drain tubes which is not a maintenance friendly design, also the plastic/polymer control levers and the pricey accessories (weight kit, snow cab). I know I'm nitpicking, overall great machines and I'm a big fan of their Quick Stick chute control.

2 weeks ago I purchased a 2019 Toro Maxx HD 1028 with the heated handgrips from Snow blowers direct ..And i love the quick steer triggers.. Haven't had much snow here in northeast PA But the machine is quite a beast I'm looking forward to seeing your videos when you get snow.. I was going to purchase the 1432 model but snow blowers direct did not have it in stock

Michael Reece I also purchased a 1028 HD in December. It is a beast. We have been getting wet and slushy snow this year and this beast has yet to clog up and throws the slush like nobody’s business. Much better than the husqvarna that I had. Would recommend to anyone who’s serious about snowblowing.

Yeah I've used my Toro alot this year and I couldn't be happier..if I could change one thing it would be the handles that you hold down to Engage the drive and Augur ..there Is a lot of tension on them and it causes a lot of hand fatigue to keep them down while burning the machine.. I Suffer from Arthritis and carpal tunnel in both hands and wrists. Maybe the Machine will get easier use as a brakes in more

On a side note folks. Don't leave your blower out in the elements when not in use. The carburetor freezes up which will probably need a blow dryer to thaw it out and the rust has a heyday. At the least tie a tarp over it. It helps but not anywhere near as good as a garage or shed. In my city they use salt for ice control and we are on the Atlantic coast. Two bad salt combinations for rust. You can taste it in the air at times.

I picked up mine a couple of weeks ago. I still have a Honda 13/32. The Honda is good but it had a tendency to power down quickly anytime the blower munched into medium or heavy snow over a foot in depth. Went through quite a few shear pins as well. It was sold to me on the premise it was for commercial purpose as is this Toro. This new big boy Toro says it won't have shear pin issues because of special gears. Hmmmm, hope that doesn't mean belts or driveshafts are going to fail. Hitting that rock, step, curb or piece of hiding wood is nasty. My experience with Toros in the past have been positive. Shear pin issues with them as well. The one advantage with my Honda is the track. I can ride it over deep snow to get at a second driveway that needs clearing without having to cut a new long pathway.

I ran it up one of the control cables and put loom around it from the spark plug and drilled a small hole under the meter to hide the wire as it comes into the dash. If you look close you can see the small wire going into the loom. www.amazon.com/Hardline-Products-HR-8061-2-Tachometer-2-Cylinder/dp/B000FOOAXY/ref=sxin_3_ac_m_pm?ac_md=2-1-QWJvdmUgJDI1-ac_d_pm&keywords=hour+meter&pd_rd_i=B000FOOAXY&pd_rd_r=8f36cb35-fa82-4aef-a80d-3ea2d5de39bb&pd_rd_w=E8RWe&pd_rd_wg=mqTAs&pf_rd_p=808372f4-ce06-4458-88ef-16b605aa053a&pf_rd_r=Z8RKD31E57ATWNQ2P8ZM&psc=1&qid=1575596113&sprefix=hour+metrr

How does this machine work with your gravel driveway? I currently have a 13 year old Craftsman that continues to break shear pins even with the skids set up about 3/4". I believe the Toro's don't use shear pins but I'm wondering how that works when a stone from the driveway gets wedged between the auger and the housing or going through the pile of ice the plow leaves at the end of your driveway. Currently I'm between this and an Ariens Platinum 30 SHO.
