For OPR, they need 5 maps. When you queue for OPR, everyone gets to vote on which map it is before time, and whichever has the most votes gets played that round. Think of an OPR map in a setting like Myrkguard. Multi-tier, house to house, etc. etc. That would be amazing.

I feel like a teamdeath match mode would do great. Come out with 5-10 smaller maps. Maybe 5v5. Similar to eso. Could have capture the flag, death match, king of the hill etc. Would be simple enough and create a lot of replayability. Could add ranked mode.

i play with 90-110 ping and it was ok. After patch i have microlag or microstaggering effect when i hit or get hitted - so it is too weird playin with or against spears because of frequent attacs but tolerable with GS or GA. Is it bcs of new pvp mechanics?

I assume they have a record table in database for every content ( expeditions, quests, arena, opr, etc... ) for the 5pve to 1pvp question.

if this is the same lydia, she is very active on the official discord. If there are updates usually she is the one to post them and is the person most likely to be answering questions on the discord. so her community management might be more focused on stuff like that.

To be fair about the controller, Windows has built in support for xbox controllers, that plus Microsoft owns both Windows and xbox, it's the easiest controller to advertise.

a new pvp mode would be a BR you drop down and open chest. no fancy gear just pvp gear that's balanced and everyone's weapon is artifacts with all 6 abilities available so 12 total. solo ques and team ques. if they release a WSG mode that would be nice also.

11:00, very good question. How they decide who is PvP player and who is PvE? If the metrics works like how many ppl at specific moment are doing dungeons or just messing around in the world vs how many of them doing arenas, OPR etc. That doesn't make any sense. Because obviously more ppl gonna be participating in PvE since there are just way more PvE activities in the game. And honestly rare player consider him self as a straight PvP or straight PvE in mmorpg. That's the whole thing about this genre, that you can do both. And of course I'm gonna spend more time doing quests, dungeons, crafting or gathering. But it doesnt mean that I'm not enjoying OPR or Arena matches every now and then. Just these activities not that exciting anymore, less rewarding and lets be fair - boring after dozen hours in. So yeah, give ppl new OPR map, make rewards better, add crossserver arenas, and those 5to1 might become 3 to 1. I'm PvE enjoyer, but I can appreciate good PvP content.

Wait, they still didn't add it? I thought they did it months ago, i stopped playing before the dlc release so i didn't know.

It concerns me that Scott translates "new map" to "rearranged map". Whenever I heard "new opr map" I would always imagine the use of new structures, new biomes, new fort layouts etc. Is he using those words just like they "rearranged" Windsward's town into making Mourningdale's? Or like how they rearranged many mines and forts around Aethernum?

17:30 xbox maybe but remmber that PC suport for xbox controler u can count in years, thanks to Xinput API which is part of DirectX(and if ppl dont rmember DirectX was not only about graphics but pheripherals and game controllers joystic sound cards aswell. ) Also to run NW on console they would need optimize the game very much. cause console are not very strong in terms of computing power.

Oh wow this game is still going? I played for like 3 months and it wasn’t much.

New World is a triple threat, it has visuals of a game that has been released, itemization of a game in it's beta, and combat that is stuck in a games alpha version.

Man, it really feels like Amazon's just seeing dollar signs with New World, especially with all this buzz about pushing towards console. It's like, 'Hey, let's just reel in as many new buyers as we can and forget about the vets who've been grinding through thick and thin.' It’s pretty clear where the focus is - selling those $70 copies to fresh faces. What happened to hooking us up with the content that keeps us coming back for more? And now, with all this swimming and console talk, it feels like they're just throwing us long-time players to the side. We need to light a fire under them and remind them who’s been here since day one. Let’s get real - if they don’t step up their game and start prioritizing the player experience over just banking on new sales, they’re gonna start losing the heart of their community.

Do people still play New World?

My honest feeling about NW being a over 1k hours player pre season 1, and i spoke this to a dozen friends or so, New World needs a reboot as ESO and FFXIV had, its a very good idea, a nice game, in a very rough state, as i even saw comments on baggins last video, i am one of the multiple thousand people that keeps an eye on the updates but does not play at the time. Having a reboot, with console release, flashed out animations, swimming, a dozen more features, and having this for free, would really help the game, also i do believe the fantasy of the game is super fitting to a exploration approach they could aim for, maybe even swimming is the baby steppes towards it, which is sailing, few MMOs explore this facet, and New World being all about this "Conquest" 1500 era Fantasy, i see it being viable. There i vented...dont know if anyone will read but i needed that.

Another mistake in the making: they hype things up so much towards the June announcement that it will no doubt disappoint a lot of ppl when the day come. So what kind of out-of-this-world exciting things that they will announce that players will not have thought of already? Like making swimming part of the NEXT paid expansion? Like new water mount as part of the NEXT paid expansion? You want swimming, pay money. You want water mount, pay money. Too bad Amazon, I am not gonna pay no more.

24/7 PvP region would save this game. What I don't like about this game is being stuck at OPR, waiting for an hour for M3, and the lack of people in 3v3 matches. I just want to jump into action whenever I please and leave whenever I want. That's all, AGS. If nobody comes to that region, then you can call your players PvE players.

I always thought swimming wasn't possible because most of the players are wearing ARMOR.

The Pareto principle says that 20% of users drive 80% of your impact. This is what Scot doesn’t understand about the value of the pvp community. They are the power users in this game. If you build something incredible for them, everything else will fall into place

2 years 2 late..

New world need a new free zone that works like the wilderness in Old School Runescape. High risk high reward lots of farming materials and good content to fight for. Console release + Fresh Start Servers + Angery Earth Discount. I love New World but I did not want to spend $30 to continue to play the game I think this really turned a lot of people away from the game. Overall if they do all of this I believe that New World will be great again! Any one who hates fresh start servers because of the current player base that argument is pretty much dead with sitting under 10K peak players.

New Zone --> Atlantis. This will be a pvp only zone. It will be an instances likr ESO's Cyrodiil. Exclusive to console players but pc players will have to pay for it. Game seems to be on life support until LotR comes out. The june announcements are going to make or break this game. If they are not good (and whats good is subjective) many more players will quit. I love disasters and Cinderella stories. So i hope im proved wrong.

Understanding limited resources but it sounds like the PC community is going to wait 10 years for the game we're all dreaming of this to be. This "Hot Seat" answered maybe a few things. But they don't care if we all die off. They're banking on the new community literally and physically. Like we know all know - they already got our money. In hopes of June Swimming skill /or introduce leaving the island to explore the waters some way/some how. Since we've expanded so much -bring in multiplayer mounts / water mounts / flying mounts. why cant we get a OPR map change included with the season pass. Rotate original map in with season map? I have no issues running the game but ever since brimstone release - does anyone feel like that city is not optimized like the rest of the world? Maybe lag, flickering, if you own a house in BS, did you see problems decorating the home in that city compared to any other city?
