If it’s limited to once per day per wurt you could definitely cross some larger gaps with it but reaching the atrium or anything in the ocean would take a while server of wurts pretty much.

Isn't there a limit to the most effective number of merms? Since once its too many, they just block each other, so not all of them can use their full attack speed

I would say that 60-80 works very well, but the perfect would be 20-30 and doing it in 1 cycle, that way everyone would get it right and it is also the most consistent strategy and the resources would be the same but with less preparation, as it would only be 20 Merms

The resource investment for this is absurd, it’s not that much different from stacking up gunpowder, healing items or whatever. Cheese is always available if you invest enough time.
