Wow, looking back on this now this one console made memories I’ll never forget.

no technical comparisons? not really interested on the outer exterior, more on functionality, fan quality as my previous 360 elite and 360 overheat.

The power brick on the E and S is a tiny bit smaller than the one on the original xbox 360.

the 360 slim overheats just from looking at it wrong the new Xbox e was made to fix the problems with the slim like overheating, random disc tray opening, and memory deletion

My first E made a loud clicking noise. The fan was hitting something causing it to overheat but my new one works perfectly

Looks like the best models for the 360 and PS3 were both there 2nd version or "slim" models. The 3rd versions are just overall cheaper.

Just bought the Xbox 360 E 500 GB, only because my current one (360 Elite) is pretty old now after 6 years and it shows. For example the CD reader sometimes quite often actually won't open and the powerbutton starts blinking. Could get fixed but because i've had it for so long i don't wanna spend any money on it, it is probably very dusty inside and i won't try dismantle it any further than the last time as i surely won't manage to assemble it again so i rather replace it. Time to renew.

Do both the consoles have digital optical outputs? For my turtle beach xp510s so I don't need the adapter for Better audio, presuming that digital optical is better.

I dropped out of High School at the time, so I was able to stay up all night, and closely follow the Hype of the Xbox 360. I used to enjoy this song and Music Video when it would come up on MTV, and of course I was watching when the Console First Launched and MTV had that Xbox 360 Launch Party. Great times! I'm here just doing some research on what the E Console is like. I'm looking to get one to load a bunch of Arcade games on it from the Xbox Store and slap the console in to an Arcade Cabinet.

I have a Xbox 360 E but I'm upgrading to Xbox one soon because 360 is out of date and all the new games are only available on Xbox one.

Question regarding the console itself, are there any noticeable differences with boot up time or playing games. I don't believe any of the comments stating that this console has problems playing games like the S model has difficulties playing currently released Xbox 360 games but it never hurts to check. I wanna play primarily Minecraft, Diablo 3, and other such games like those. However specifics don't really matter, just would help me to decide when buying either a used Xbox 360 Slim S or Xbox 360 Slim E next week

From what I can see on the back of the E version, it looks like you can connect the 360 to the PC much easier than the slim. That's probably another market that Microsoft was going for when they refreshed the 360 again. They sure don't want to see any more how-to vids of people cutting the protruding plastic on the A/V connector when connecting the HDMI connection like in the S version. Lol! Overall, since they fixed the original 360's problems with the slim version, hopefully the E version is like the same thing, only with a few changes. If the longevity of the 360 E console has improved again, that would be a good plus. :)

The slim is CLEARLY better. It has the optical connection. It looks better - agree with reviewer - the shine gets scratched - the eject button looks cheap on the E. They both are quiet - I can't hear a think on the slim. They basically cheapened the Slim and sold it as something new. I am a sucker and bought it -so they got me. Take it from someone who owns both - slim before E.

Well the differnce comes to the motherboard this e verision has a newer Corona (V6) while the slim has a trinity, the e has a newer verision of an Old on lol

The XBOX 360 E Chassis is having a 4GB HDD, replacing the 4GB to 500GB HDD then plug Kinect into XBOX 360 S 2013.

So basically the only thing different between the S and the E is that it's slightly slimmer, sort of resembles to the X1 and the power and eject buttons are now clickable and not touch sensitive.

I just bought the e miles better than the 360 pro plus I won't have to worry about disc drive problems plus the only one I could get slims not available so I got this got the new tomb raider and halo 4 plus 1 month of gold already renewed my gold for 12 months but its there if needed.
