It was nice and touching that you paid a visit to the World Trade Centre site. I do love NYC and have made several visit’s myself. I was actually there two weeks after 911 and I can tell you what a surreal experience it was. I walked over Brooklyn Bridge and the awful smell and taste in the back of my throat really got to me. Dust and debris still hanged in the air and I have a vivid memory of seeing a Levi Jeans store completely covered in dust which from my understanding is still like it today, (if someone can confirm that). A memory I will never forget like those that unfortunately were caught in the terrible events in September 2001. The area now is changed so much. The Woolworth Building is my favourite skyscraper although I did go up The Empire State Building. Macy’s is always worth a visit along with Statin Island. The Metro system is fairly cheap if I recall. Grand Central Station is amazing. Great vlog guys.

I’d love to see you guys come back sometime in the Autumn/October and visit the New England area. I think doing a Boston to DC road-trip would be awesome! You could drive up from Boston to Maine, drive back down through Vermont, stop In Connecticut, drive down to DC, stop in NYC on the way back, and come back to the Boston area! There’s theme parks like Six Flags New England, Great Adventure, and Lake Compounce on the way, there’s tons of local scare attractions, apple picking, museums like Mass Moca where they have a roller coaster art exhibit, you could go to Salem, Martha’s Vineyard, Newport! There’s a lot to do, and less driving as well compared to this trip! Lol and if you like picturesque small towns it’s the perfect region! Just a thought 😇

Loved this vlog. This was the first destination my boyfriend, now husband and I went to. We went 11 months after 9/11 and there was still dust on all the buildings and pictures of those lost, put up in vain by loved ones searching for them. Absolutely surreal experience. No one said a word, you could hear a pin drop...... Loved Grand Central Station, such a classic movie location. Great food hall underneath it!! You even showed where we stayed Essex House Hotel!!!

This video reminded how truly one a kind New York is. Even if you don't like big cities, it is worth experiencing as I still have never been to a city quite like it. The free ferry looks good when short on time but I personally like getting dropped off at the statue of liberty as you can get up close to the statue and there is an interesting self guided audio tour that gives you tons of history. Also on the same trip going to Ellis island and doing the audio tour is amazing. Need time though as all of that can easily take 4+ hours.

One of my favourite places in the world. Did some general sightseeing when I was there like Times Square, Central Park Zoo, Empire State Building, Coney Island, One World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. Unfortunately last week it was hammering it down on the 4th of July so we didn’t get to the Statue of Liberty island but we still saw it from a far on the same boat tour that you were on I believe & we saw the fireworks later that night. Hope you had an awesome time while you were there!

15:00 I actually visited the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA last year, now operated by the National Park Service. And that one was hard on me. I was driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and a couple of times, I actually did wanted to turn around and head back home and not visit the memorial several times. But I didn't, and I made it, got to see it, and took it off my bucket list. Same thing with NYC, some of the victims and other US Citizens don't want to see the 9/11 Memorial ever.

We remember the tragedy so vividly as we were on our honeymoon in 2001 when it all happened and we were in Mexico watching on our hotel TV, it was so heart breaking to watch. This is super nostalgic for me, we got engaged in New York back in November 2018, on the night they switched the lights on the Rockefeller Christmas tree that year! An amazing trip, I would love to go back in the future! 😍

We visited NY just before the tragic events of 9/11 and the view from the top of the WTC building was phenomenal, you could actually get on the very top. I went to New York last August, it was so funny, as New York is known for their yellow cabs, but one morning we walked 3 miles without seeing a single one, and we were in the centre, also most of them you now have to book, traditional way of just flagging down a taxi was so much easier than the hassle of booking!

Fun fact about the famous grids you walked over in times square - most people think they are air vents, which there sort of where originally supposed to be. However on installation of the underground airvents, they failed to work after a think several weeks but the project was too big and cos millions so it became a registered art installation (i think it some times lights up underground too). Also massive respect for filming Ground Zero with such reverence and emotion ❤ really enjoyed this guys. Stay safe 🙏

43:55 You can actually buy Disney mascots costumes for sale for yourself and also family members and friends. But they aren't made by Disney, they are made by a third party vendor that has an online store. I actually dressed up as an eagle last month when I got invited to a costume party. So the Disney costumes you see in NYC or Las Vegas, they are purchased by those type of online stores. But don't into a Disney park wearing a costume, that is a park policy and you get kicked out or not allowed to go in.

Very enjoyable tour around New York. Good tip regarding the free Staten Island Ferry if you just want to view the Statue of Liberty. Quite moving footage at the Trade Centre Memorial. Macy’s just looked like a giant Selfridges. ha,ha. Having never visited New York, I was surprised to see that Times Square isn’t actually square. But then again Maddison Square Garden is round. 😂 Grand Central Terminal was as impressive as I’d seen in so many films. Nice vlog, really enjoyed and look forward for more in future. Sad the USA Tour is over, really enjoyed theme park & travelling series, 100% support the idea at the end on visiting days in cities, wondering if you are coming down to Kent in future a.k.a Southeast of England to see our steam railways, other tourist attractions? Especially Manston Airport museums & airport building progress? As that has now got full green light & happening. Steam railways are good down here including K&ESR / Kent and East Sussex Railway & RHDR / Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway aswell many other railways. Have you done Dover Castle yet? Really good attraction, but got a lot in the Southeast & Kent, got a unique steam railway which is Industrial Paper Mill railway Sittingbourne, Kemsley Light Railway, if love history got Chatham Historic Dockyard where Sherlock Holmes, Call the Midwife aswell many other films over the years have been filmed, got a bobsleigh run at Capstone Park aswell more things to do there, got Diggerland and a new zipline and adventure park at Bluewater Shopping Centre. Loads of things to see in Kent. Even more than that. Just a lot of ideas there, but nice vlog, really enjoyed & look forward for more videos. Cheers again. 😀👍

Fun fact: the vehicle that the president rides in is called "The Beast." Not the roller coaster though lol, its a multi million dollar armored Cadillac, and there are multiple of them driving right next to each other so that way an attacker doesn't know which one the president is in. Also there are ambulances in the motorcade to treat injuries in case there is an attack. From Skyscape website: "The Beast is loaded with Bond-style gadgets believed to include smoke screens and door handles rigged to send a 120-volt electric shock to ward off attackers. It can also reportedly lay down an oil slick to send enemy vehicles spinning out of control. Pump-action shotguns, rocket-powered grenades, night vision equipment, and tear gas grenades are all said to be on board. Weighing in at between eight to 10 tons, the body is made of eight-inch armor plating with armored floor plates to protect from potential bomb blasts. The five-inch thick windows can stop a .44 magnum bullet. The interior can be sealed in the event of a chemical attack and The Beast’s tires can carry on for miles - even if they’re flat."

We have a statue of liberty in Leicester near the Leicester city football club! The Leicester Statue of Liberty is a small replica of the Statue of Liberty by local stonemason Joseph Morcom installed at the twin Soar River bridges in Leicester, England.

The statue cruise to liberty island and ellis island take about half a day in total because of the whole seeing everything situation and honestly it’s better spent seeing it from afar as you have other things to see. If you had more time you would do it but one day in nyc not enough time

Agree with Charlotte, you don’t have to queue to take a photo with our Birmingham Bull at the bullring! We also have the second bull now too, the mechanical bull from the commonwealth games !! I don’t think I will ever go to New York so I paid my respects with you watching this at the 9/11 memorial. So sad, xx
