Just the cans being Bloated is a red flag then the lead is super high #Microscope #Testing #OLDFOOD
This video shows how food from the 50s and 60s looks after time, the old cans have very high lead and iron levels, it looks pretty cool under the microscope but if anything was living inside it was long dead. Thanks for watching

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤❤❤

I live about 20 minutes away from Kankakee! I did some research, and the building where the coconut shreds were canned still exists! It's abandoned, and full of asbestos (as any other factory building from the '60s is), but it's still standing! There's actually a tour of it here on KZfaq from just a few years ago, it's titled "Old general Mills factory in Kankakee Illinois" by abandoned or cool. The title is incorrect, it was actually general "foods", as labeled on the can. It's mixed up with an actual general Mills factory on the other side of town, which is still in use. Anyways, I just wanted to share a bit of local history :) great video! Absolutely obsessed

Beattie concluded that lead poisoning had been a significant contributor to the death of the three sailors, and probably also to the catastrophic end of the expedition. He claimed that the source of the lead in the exhumed sailors was the soldering of the cans containing tinned foods. Beattie even tried to back this up by doing isotopic analysis, showing that the lead in the hair and in the solder came from the same source.

The soup actually looks unscathed. For yellow peas, that's exactly the color you'd have if it were fresh. And I'm assuming it was condensed, so it would have come out in one glob just like Campbell's does today.

I'm a huge fan of Habitant French Canadian pea soup! I haven't seen it since I moved from CT to AZ almost two years ago. I did find out that the Manchester, NH plant was closed in 1983 and production was shifted to Canada. Somewhere in the past, the company was purchased by Campbell's and the Toronto plant where it was made was closed last year. Too bad as my maternal grandmother was French Canadian used to make it but loved the Habitant brand.

In referring to the maximum contaminates allowed by the EPA you might want to point out that 1 milligram per liter (mg/L) is basically 1 part per million (ppm). I used to work for the Department of Public Health. I didn't have such easy ways for testing metals I had to do it the hard way; concentrated acid digestion and atomic absorption spectroscopy.
