Newton’s Second Law of Motion
Change in momentum can be calculated as:
Case 1: P = Pf - Pi
= mv - mu
= 2(5) - 2(0)
P = 10 kg m/s
Case 2: P = Pf - Pi
= mv - mu
= 2(10) - 2 (0)
= 20 kg m/s
Hence proved
Force ∝ Change in momentum
More the force more will be change in momentum.
Force ∝ 1/t
Where, t = time at which momentum velocity changes
Comparing both the concepts
Force ∝ p/t
Force ∝ (mv -mu)/t
Force ∝ m(v -u)/t
Force ∝ ma
Force = Kma (k = proportionality constant i.e. value of k in SI unit is 1)
Force = mass x acceleration .

Very Nicely Explained Mam But I have a doubt that:- In that glass example why you didn't include the surface on which the object is falling i.e., (the cushion and the road)? Surface plays a major role in breaking of that glass....

11:12 ma’am u wrote 10 kg m/s I think the answer should be -10 kg m/s.... but even if we take -10kg m/s then also the change in momentum is less (-5kg m/s) than that compared to the glass in the next case (cushion) ... but u told the change in momentum in the first case should be greater than the second one... can anyone explain this to me
