In Joe Hsieh’s “Night Bus,” a bus waylaid in the middle of the night becomes the backdrop for a violent outburst of hatred, love, and vengeance. Still haven’t subscribed to The New Yorker on KZfaq ►► bit.ly/newyorkeryoutubesub

Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.

The monkey ripped that guy's eye out with its hand!
Saw this as the precursor for the film “Sissy” at Sydney Film Fest and man is it friggin brilliant. Got a great audience reaction too and much applause at the end!

Don't know what ELSE you might have expected to happen. In fact, the whole thing was fairly predictable (albeit well done...)

I really loved the first minute and 17 seconds of this , and thought the rest of it was going to have that kind of BEAUTY ... I wish I had read the description before I started watching all that violence . Not my cup of tea , but to each his own .

Better watch it buddy, or someone might wanna rip YOUR eye out! 😉

I know, that was horrible, why did that have to be included??! I don't care about the people, but don't murder the monkey!

Is it just me or the dialogue weaves between standard Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien/Hakka? The old lady, bus driver, and the two workers speak either hokkien or hakka, while the young couple and the guy with the sunglasses speak Mandarin.

Yes, you're right.

Not Hakka, just regular Taiwanese. It’s usually the elder population that uses it.

WOW! What a grotesquely beautiful story about justice. it's not for everyone though. but bravo!
@johnsmith14742 жыл бұрын
There is no justice in this story just retribution. If you bothered to spend 30 sec looking into the author's thought you'd know the genre is horror. What is wrong with people that they can't do basic review of simple things?
@krokodyl19272 жыл бұрын
@@johnsmith1474 But that would be a ‘spoiler alert’, and it would lessen the story’s impact on the viewer. 🌝

Every vantage point has its own unique blindness. - j q t -
@johnsmith14742 жыл бұрын
Good saying! You could tighten it up by leaving out "unique" and even "point." "Has it's own" implies uniqueness, and a vantage is a vantage point. Thus: "Every vantage has it's own blindness." That's writing.
