Yes thats supposed to represent his mom. The balloons are his burdens. That's why she has a few balloons with her. He never really told her how he really felt and never got the closure he'd wished he had.

You may be right about that being his mom on the swinging bench. He referenced the black balloons as his burdens right before her walked over to her, then her placed some balloons around her, as if to say his mom's death has always been a burden on him, especially with how he feels guilt over not calling her before she overdosed cause he knew something was off with her. So I'm in agreement with ya'll, I think that is his mom on the bench

Maybe his mom is in white, bc she didn't really like his music (and the other people in white in the background are the rest of the rap industry trying to get him to conform to the status quo) but he's in his all black outfit, representing how he is, and will be, himself. At the end, the white outfit put in his cart is most likely a foreshadowing to a future song, where he probably snaps on the rap industry and how he will not fit in to the BS. Also, I believe his cart represents his journey through life (bumpy and hard to navigate, but he keeps going anyway). He carries his burdens with him (balloons) and in the back of his mind are the haters (people in white) and when he gets to his mom, he stops the cart and walks away from it... Meaning his life stopped when that happened. Just my theory lol, sorry for the length. Also, his line "You can call me what you want, but don't ever call me forgettable" is bc Buzzfeed called him and his music 'forgettable'... whoever reviewed his music for Buzzfeed needs to get the boot TBH.

Black balloons - His burdens Cart - His life - Not easy to push though the mud, it’s been a journey. Cage in the background - What He was stuck in from his song “outcast”. - It’s in the background because now he is free and searching. People in white (Dressed like an insane asylum) - Voices in his head - Fear - Anger - Guilt - etc At the end of the video the man in white brings him a white suit. Telling him to wear it because he is insane and should just except it. Nate continues to sit in his cart because he hasn’t believed he is crazy yet. Listen to Intro 3, you will see he finally removed “fear” from his head, and he is working on all the others.

I absolutely loved your reaction!! I honestly wasn't sure how he could top Perception...and then Why came out and Now This...and I wasnt prepared! I never thought anyone could give me the feelings Eminem gave me...but he has literally surpassed every emotion Eminem ever gave me. He has ever grown further from his last CD and I thought that was 10/10 with no hiccups at all, soooo I'm so excited to see what's in the future next month!

This is one of my favorite reactions to the video. Only thing I'll add to what you guys mentioned at the beginning regarding everyone in the white; They're not following him. They are "us". Everyone is just kind of floating through life, but carrying their own burdens and issues with them. So NF has already put out 3 full albums about his past, issues, state of mind, burdens, etc (he's in his black clothing and such, still kind of in the darkness but he just left his cell, shown in the background in the beginning). The person putting the white garments in his cart at the end (I think) signifies that he's trying to let go of the darkness and realize he's just like everyone else and move towards "hope" (I'm looking for the map to hope, you seen it?). The burdens he carries are his own black balloons and everyone else has the same thing. He's just showing that he's evolving, his music, mindset, etc.

New sub, you guys are great! Educated in you NF music and you pay attention. His balloons are his burdens. And the cart is his mind he's trying to find more positive to fill with. From dark to light, negative thoughts to positive thoughts. The water and light is very telling of hope, he said he's looking for the Map to Hope. I think he's to creative to do the expected psych ward play. Can't wait to see you guys do more of his songs!!

He filmed this in Iceland. His wife had photos from Iceland when she was touring while he was filming and then he said he flew the cage from perception that he’s walking from in the beginning to Iceland for that scene

I know I'm super late commenting on this video but might I suggest listening to the story he tells through some of his songs. Listening to them in order to have a better understanding of Nate as a person and artist. The ones that all tie everything together about his life and what he's gone through to get to The Search. I do suggest listening to all his albums in order but the songs below tell a consistent story over ALL albums. Try watching his music videos if you can also. Pay attention to the cinematography. He leaves a lot of consistent symbolism through all of his videos that ties together. You guys sound like big fans yourselves and I think if yall did consistent reactions to listening to the story in order that it would piece it together for other fans and it would be awesome to see a channel get through his whole story. I've personally (jovani) have been following NF since is first ep was put out. I'm actually very familair with his music and his story so I'm not sure if we should react to all his songs relating to his story because we've heard it all. I don't mind breaking them down though because we've done it hundreds of times before we started this channel.

Very interesting reaction, but you should always go back a few seconds before restarting, otherwise you missed the current bar often. Just use the 'J' key on the keyboard goes back 10 seconds or the 'left arrow' goes back 5.

The white coat resembles a mental patient. He’s becoming a mental patient to search his mind and finally destroy his burdens. All of his songs have led to this album and this moment of him killing his burdens. So he’s becoming a mental patient to do so and “search” his mind.
