I love football (in the Southeast, so more college than pro---ROLL TIDE), and have enjoyed watching pro ball, mostly to see our Bama boys play. I will admit now that Taylor is involved, I tend to tune in to KC in case she is there. :)

I'm a 59 year old female that lives for football. The Taylor Swift stuff is good for the game. More eyeballs means less movement to streaming. I couldn't pick out a Taylor song if it hit me in the head, but business is business. I thought that the NFL joke was a good one.

You know, the helmet idea isn't bad. If we could do something to make players' faces more visible, perhaps with some sort of transparent plexi face shield rather than a grill, it could inspire more fan connection?

So what you are saying is that Taylor Swift has brought the two worlds together by dating a football player, and Swifties, who would normally not watch football, are now watching just to get a glimpse of Taylor's sweetie? Hmmmm, this could catch on. Football teams could be hiring "Matchmakers" to pair up one of their football players with a very popular female artist or persona (ie one of the Kardashian sisters, anyone else who is super popular with mostly young women) And they get more viewership. Of course, this may affect the type of commercials they show as well.

There's some research that head injuries sustained in football cause more negative long-term effects than people realize, Malcolm Gladwell did a podcast about it. Not to sound judgy but it made me even more confused why some people enjoy watching football lol.

Sorry, but I am a female who watches football games. Not a fan of the cut aways. Also, there was a reference to "Simone Biles husband," yesterday. Are the going to start calling Russell Wilson, "Ciara's husband," now? People think it's sexist to call women, "Bob's wife," now it's turning the other way. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Taylor cut aways.

Just get Taylor and her dancers dressed up as cheerleaders and give her a mic and she can sing during the whole game. Guys and girls can come together and watch it all together. Realistically though, we all know that Taylor has turned down Superbowl performances in the past but I would be seriously surprised if she doesn't do it in 2025 if Travis and her are still together that is. Heck I wouldn't surprised if they told Usher to stay home this year, but I guess Taylor is probably already booked, very busy woman.

I'm not a swifty. That said it's not just teenage girls. Did you miss the cops making videos of themselves dancing to Shake it off? I don't know how long this can go on or how much bigger it can get but it's not just teenage girls. I like a few of her songs and quite frankly I am impressed with her business savvy, so I am curious where it goes from here.

@@javdestiny that was actually my point. Her music appeals to a very narrow slice of people (IMO). I saw an interview of her WAAAY back and thought "wow, she's a cool person, let's see if I like her music" and NOPE, I'm not pre-teen enough or little girl enough. I don't understand how her music can have such a huge effect. "Shake it off" for example. Is it a good song - sure. It's a fairly standard, forgettable pop song. And that's the highest compliment I can give to HER BEST music. Michael Jackson had an enigmatic energy about him, Taylor is a tweenie pop singer with half the presence of Britney Spears. I just don't get it

As a chief fan and someone who appreciates Travis’s skill and enthusiasm for the game,,,, I just want to say this to him about Taylor Swift,,,,,, RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY! I know they are essentially the same age but she still acts like a 16 year who doesn’t understand not everyone revolves their life around her, even her friends and boyfriends. I blame it on the Swifties, who DO revolve their life around her instead of having a life of their own. Someday he is going to do something, like decide to play football, rather than follow her around on her tour. She is going to take it as a personal insult and kick him to the curb.

Um I was upset Packer played the Broncos same time and who get the Local broadcast but Kc vs LAC come on the Packers are playing in the Central US! We are 6 hrs from Denver(3 from KC) well um but KC is like my 3rd go to team of the Playoffs… Charlie B would agree with me.. KC and Packers played already…. B4 this happened…. Can they play again?? If it's Taylor's World and we're all just living in it I want to wake up from that nightmare. I don't watch NFL and I'm perfectly fine with not seeing her. Don't watch, don't care. She'll eventually go on to someone else. I can see older Swifties wanting Kim's proposals to happen. Though I pray it doesn't.
