@@hamhockbeansRandall winds up when he throws, Marino was a flick of the wrist. I'm a die hard fins fan who hasn't missed a game since 86' & I'm originally from Philly. Just ask cats like Manning who they looked up to. Marino was shattering records in an era when you could still grab recievers off the line & downfield. And Marino didn't have Wr's like Harrison & Reggie Waynem. Duper was a speedster & Clayton was a solid reciever & great route runner but neither will sniff the HOF. After them he his best wr was probably Irving Fryer at the down side of his career. Marino also never had a Marshal Faulk or Edgerin James in the backfeild. Marino on 4th and short more often than not goes deep and I like that. It showed how much confidence he had in his arm and in his receivers to make the catch. The sad thing about Marino is that his teams came up short in winning Super Bowls. If he was on championship rosters we would be talking about him as one of the greatest QBs in NFL history. Instead he loses in arguments when compared to Joe Montana, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning and probably soon Patrick Mahomes.

At the time I was a kid, Steelers fan so I hated Marino, now I can enjoy watching him play, he is just the best QB I’ve seen. Like Barry Sanders, two of the very best without a SB ring.

Randall Cunningham is amazing, and I can see why so many people compared Matt Cassel to him!

I won’t make the argument Marino was the best qb ever because of his lack of rings but he is the most revolutionary. The stats he put up in that area were absurd
