I'll never forget that Deion interception and dancing all the way to the endzone. One of my most vivid football memories still to this day. I forgot that we were fighting for 1st place in the NFC West that game. What a season 94 was!

The 1994 49ers were like a superteam. Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young. The greatest Wide Receiver of all time Jerry Rice. The greatest cornerback of all time Deion Sanders.

Also one of only two teams to have both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. The other is the 1986 Giants who had Lawrence Taylor win both awards.

The only thing I don't like about Sanders was the fact that the 49ers didn't keep him beyond the one season he was there. He, for sure, is the greatest CB I've ever seen.

@@cbod14 I mean the 94 49ers team point differential was absurd also. I'm not saying they better than 89 or 84 team but all three of those 49ers teams got absurd point differential. The 94 49ers average like 43 point per game in the playoffs.

To put some perspective on how well Deion's coverage was: in the first 6 games of 94, Rison had 44 catches for 573 yards and 6 TD's On this day, he had 32 yards

Mainly I think it was because the 90's and you can get away with 100 times more stuff & they were also both superstars. But you're right. In today's game they would even throw out the Superstars. Glad they didn't because we would've never gotten the Iconic Deion interception.

SUPERB. Thanks boss for the spotlight. Any 80's or 90's game you do from this era, and I'll definitely be in my box seat. Especially a 49ers game. Didn't think you'd do this one, so this is a wonderful surprise for my weekend. Deion had his best year as a pro, and really helped the squad get past Dallas. In Atlanta, the game was basically over when the 2nd quarter started hee haw. Loved how stacked we were then. Cheers mate :D

The 49ers said that this game & The Lions game the previous week was when the 94 team began to settle themselves. The defense got used to each other & the offensive line recovered from early injuries.

I’m an Atlanta native. I was 15 at the time. I still have that game on VHS, somewhere. Leading up to that game, I was SO hyped. The Falcons got their assess whipped, of course. We knew that, but it was all about Deion Sanders returning to The Georgia Dome vs. his old team. The fight between him and Andre Rison was one thing. The pick-six with him looking at the Falcons sideline all the way to the end zone was epic and savage at the same time.

I know we talk about Deion mainly as a Cowboy but 49ers Deion is, without a doubt, his absolute best. His 94 season is barely mentioned in regards to the greatest season for a CB & defensive players, in general. In regards to Greatest DB seasons - 2006 Champ, 2009 Revis, 1994 Deion.

I remember this game because the over was 46 1/2. Was counting my money with 9:30 left in the third quarter, since it had to go over. Not a single point was scored after that. Still can’t believe that.

If only Deion stayed in SF vs. take the money to go to Dallas, he might've gotten up to 4 Super Bowl rings vs. 2. No way Dallas gets past SF again after 1994 & Brett Favre and John Elway would've been hard pressed to only have half a field to pass against if they faced Sanders-led 49ers defense.

Deion knew he wasn't winning any unless he was on Dallas or San Francisco at that time. He made talk a lot stupid jive ,but he wasn't stupid enough stay in Atlanta during those years 💯
