NGG16 Garratt No 87 auf der spektakulären Welsh Highland Railway

8 ай бұрынWährend meines Aufenthalts in Wales widmete ich einen Tag der Welsh Highland Railway. Die aus Sud-Afrika stammende Garratt NGG 16 No87 war an jenem Tag für die Bespannung des Harbourmaster von auf der rund 40km langen Strecke von Porthmadog nach Caernafon und zurück zuständig.
Die Welsh Highland Railway ist eine 597mm Schmalspurbahn, welche bereits 1937 stillgelegt wurde und von 1997 bis 2011 wiederaufgebaut wurde.

Hallo Morten, these Welsh trains are really interesting: I've just discovered that the engines wrre specially designed to cope with the tight corners in this railway. Danke Morten, LG Bob aus England 🍾🥂

Thank you! Yes, its just amazing how the engine works on this Railway. In the the tight corners it looks a bit like a model railway:)
