Wow. New Jersey is just full of surprises. For a young team, they sure are something else. They just keep on impressing. Devils fans must be really enjoying this team.

After a decade of pure hell, this is an amazing season for sure. Finished 3rd overall and made the playoffs when no one thought they could. No matter what happens this series, I’m still super proud of these guys

I just keep thinking about the 2019 draft (I think,) and the question of *who* New Jersey was going to select first. There was a LOT of chatter, surrounding Kaapo Kakko going first overall. Taking NOTHINGthink we made the *right* decision

Lmao true!!! Whether it's for or against, you're seemingly guaranteed goals. I mean 5-1x2 vs the rangers in g1-2 and also Carolina got 6-1 and 5-1. Now add the 4-1 vs Rangers and now 12 total goals this game. I am just glad they are 1 game in the win column this series now:)

As a Leaf fan, I want nothing more than the Devils to win this series and possibly represent the east in the cup finals. What a fun, young team. They have so much speed and skill. Something the leafs need direly, speed

The difference between the first round and second round Leafs is they didn’t give up and kept their game simple in the first round. Luck was largely on their side as well. Second round they’ve run into a hot goaltender but also make far too many turnovers on their own end of the ice. Gotta give Florida credit, they play fast and hard and the leafs don’t know what hit them so far. Leafs are also a couple goal post away from being up in their series. That’s the beauty of hockey. I just hope marner finds his confidence for the next game because he’s been a ghost in the second round

There was a lot to highlight. Eight goals for the Devils, 4 for the Canes. Adding the fight at least gave the Canes a fifth highlight so the Devils didn't get twice the wins that night.

The NJ Devils have a learning curve. Definitely wanted to see a response, but from an offensive perspective, they went completely gangbusters.

Damn. Can Jersey complete the comeback. Like what happened last round against the Rangers. Whatever happens for the rest of the series, hopefully it goes to 7 matches. Mercer with 3 assists.

The Cane's have a history of throwing out a stinker in game 3 - even as a Cane's fan I expected this. NJ was ticked off by the beat down they got in game 2 and took it out in game 3 - what I didn't expect was the fight, but 2 cheap shots from behind back to back is classless. Dudes didn't even have the puck in either case - should have been interference x 2, Plus a 5 for fighting (except Haula didn't do much except get his face pummeled)

@@TMMPdumbasses funny, but most hockey "experts" never expect them to make the playoffs at all. Can't "choke" if you are the underdog. This is the first year I've ever heard the so called experts saying that they're any good from early on, and I've been a STH since 2000. Your memory is short if you don't remember 2006 when even though the Cane's were up 2-1 in the series against NJ in 2006 and the experts were on national TV saying that the series was "all New Jersey".

Прав был человек, который назвал нынешних Девилз командой куража. Сегодня быстрая пара шайб сильно эту команду вдохновила. Не люблю такие игры в одну калитку, особенно в плей-офф. Один плюс, Кочетков появился на льду :)

NJ offense was great tonight. Goaltending is super shaky, Canes looked like they could've popped a couple more past Vanacek if they didn't keep getting into penalty trouble

Of this series, I'm pulling for the youth of the Devil's to meet the Panthers in the next series. If that were to happen, it would be tough for the Devil's to match the better and more experienced goaltending in Florida. It would make for an exciting series no matter what.

Vanecek needs to make a save once in a while. He goes low and gets cooked every time. There's basically a zero percent chance he'll make a clutch save, and overall he was terrible tonight.

I prefer 3SH goals vs 3 even strength goals. SH goals only showcase sloppy play, not the result of a better offense.

Cane's always manage to throw a stinker on the ice in game 3. 6:18 if you can't beat 'em beat hell outta 'em! Haula won't be so quick to take cheap shots on people from behind.
