@kevinwong1988 I guarentee they won't do anything. They have 0 cap space. They lose about 5 players and that cap gets eaten by extended sorokin cap. The only solution would to try and dump some of these god awful contracts. But even then, the ceiling is a 1st round exit for the foreseeable future sadly

In this game I really felt they should've put Kochetkov in after the 2nd. Andersen was clearly hurt and needed rest, I have just as much confidence in Kochetkov winning a series as Andersen doing it.

A great balanced-scoring win for the 'Canes. That penalty shot from Kuzy was laser. I couldn't even see the puck. I loved the way he took his time with that shot, basically telling Varlomov, 'It's coming, it's coming' it's about to happen'! Speaking of Varlomov, I do feel bad for him after that 5th goal. It was a very bad bounce that no one could have done anything about. It was just bad luck for him.

Islanders came back from 2-0 and 3-1 in this one. Incredibly unlucky for 8 seconds early in the 3rd, otherwise they could still be in this series. Congrats Canes.

Ну вот и очередь Сёмы подошла косячить, правда и для кипера карлов сегодня лёд был слишком скользкий. Но в Целом рыбинзонты выдали вполне достойную серию, если б не вратари, то может и как то иначе всё сложилось бы Карлы конечно сильнее островов, но в кубке случается всякое.

Very original. Also wrong, goalies are expected to handle dump arounds. You never notice the goals they prevent by helping the D-men, only the freak bounces.

Close to the end of this video when game is over, on top left corner it shows "CAR LEADS 4-1". What is this all about? First time I see something like this. What I have seen all these years with NHL playoff games is like "(Team) WINS 4-1", for example. I repeat, it is "WINS", not "LEADS"! LEADS to achieve what in this series? With 4-1, did you not already WIN the series?

Кэролайна созрела для больших дел. Совсем не удивлюсь, если в большом финале от Востока будет играть именно "харикейнс". У них и вратарская линия достаточно хорошая (хотя Андерсен курьезный гол пустил), защитники так и вовсе одни из лучших в лиге, теперь и в нападении появилось глубина и вариативность.

Well Isles, you guys fought well and you fought hard. If the GM helps out Roy and makes some improvements to the depth of your team we'll probably be seeing you next year too. The only question remaining, will you join the Canes on the rest of this journey to Lord Stanley's cup? Or will you support the Rags who's fan base like the guy down below calls you an embarrassment to New York? Good riddance to the Islanders.. they had the fewest wins (39) for any play off team, two lesser than Red Wings(41) and four lesser than the St Louis Blues (43) both of whom didn't make the playoffs The Islanders are there only because the NHL rewards losing in overtime.. it doesn't matter if you won more games against the other teams as long as the other teams have more OT losses...a crappy policy to say the least Red Wings vs Hurricanes may have been more competitive.

Another Red Wings cry baby. Wings cant qualify for last 8 consecutive years. And you still blame the rules of NHL. Rules are the same for every team. Wings are good team, but fans like you are losers and will be losers.

I am merely pointing that the NHL is the only professional league that awards losing in OT games and does not award winners enough. No body gets a point for losing an OT game in football or basketball or losing an extra inning game in baseball The Islanders have a losing record and are only in the play offs because they lost more games in OT than Detroit - that to me is encouraging mediocrity. Florida and Boston have exactly one point separating them - even though Florida has 5 more wins than the Bruins in the regular season. If the Bruins had lost two more of their games in OT they would have home ice advantage over Florida - even though the Panthers have 5 more wins and 5 fewer losses than Boston - only in the Gary Betteman NHL clown world would this insanity/mediocrity be appreciated and awarded

@@i_luv_pizza_11Flyers didn’t really choke. They are in rebuild. They traded top 2 defenseman- Walker to Avs and Russian guy to Columbus. Then some crazy woman sued their main goalie and they had to remove him. And 3 other defensemen were hurt. When you have no starting D or starting goalie, it’s hard to win anything.

Каролина была ни настолько сильнее Айлендерс, но Кузнецов и Свечников хорошо сыграли, а у Айлендерс Варламов не сыграл как Бобровский или Василевский.....и вот результат, болела за Айлендерс, жаль, что проиграли.....теперь желаю Каролине обыграть Рейнджерс, но готовьтесь, там играют настоящие костоломы...

That BS is dug up after every weird bounce goal. Modern hockey includes active goalies stopping the dumps. Sometimes, rarely it backfires, most often it helps the defence.
