How the hell was that interference when Backes was the one going into Marleau's path and Marleau simply raising his stick to protect himself?? Calling that interference would be almost as bad as the disallowed goal where Bergeron pushed Hyman into Rask and caused him to lose his stick. Not Hyman's fault and yet Bruins caught a break and the goal was called back.

Terrible thing that happened, props to Boston for showing respect during this time and playing a hard fought game.

Time on Ice for Marner was only 16 minutes.He needs more minutes too.My point the best players get the minutes toi then excel.Plekanec was on the 4th line having minimal ice time.Now he is flying out there.

Looking back at these seasons in 2017 and 2018 they really weren't ready to take that next step. Getting to Game 6 and Game 7 those seasons were pretty great accomplishments considering the ages of the players and their development. In 2019, that was the year they had to take the next step. But they fell short. I blame a few things. For one, I think the Leafs had a very poor coach. Babcock's decisions, such as to have an aging Marleau out in the dying seconds of a Game 7 with the goalie out, were extremely baffling at times. And also, I am not very confident in Freddy Andersen. I think he's a class guy, and a great goaltender. But in clutch situations, he failed to come up at least by my opinion. In Game 7 he let in a few easy ones, I think. Though, I wish him nothing but success in Carolina. I'm not sure what to make of the series against Columbus. Sure, they lost against a pretty poor team, but it was also in an empty rink in the middle of an international health crisis. I think that affected the series. I feel similarly about their series against Montreal. However I must admit that it was extremely embarrassing anyways. But last season, against Tampa Bay was a war of a series. I think they're right there. Hopefully their additions this offseason will be good, I like the additions of Aston-Reese and Benn, and they can hopefully make a big splash at the trade deadline as well. It all comes down to goaltending, though I do feel some cautious optimism about bringing in Matt Murray.

Toronto refs let the players play. Both teams could have got various penalties that did not get called. Boston is a different story, their refs seem very bias towards Boston. Game 5 proved that without a doubt but game 1 and 2 had a steady stream of Leafs going to the box as well.

CMD 3 Its playoff hockey. Leafs are the dark horse of 2018. Anything can happen. Bostom had very solid puck luck in games 1 and 2 to blow open the series. Anderson shut the door in game 3 to solidify a fight. Toronto buckled momentum and lost the first home game of the series in G4. Boston turned on cruise control. G5 rolls around. A real unjust night in hockey gotta fking say here. But the Leafs power through PK after PK. And survive with a win. G6.... Leafs look like the series pressure is getting to them through two. Still they keep the game tight and nurse a home win. G7.... it really is anyone's game.... GLG!

I can see Marleau stepping up a bit with his experience in Game 7. I knew if Nylander scored we were going to win Game 6.First goal. Game 7 if JVR scores we always win. Keep your eye on JVR.
