Picking up Valardi, Iaffalo, and Nino was huge. I think it changed the tone of the locker room and added a lot of depth to the Jets. Everyone is contributing now on the team. There point spread is amazing 👏 Even there 4th line can be dangerous

They got rid of 2 questionable players as well. You can’t have half the team following the Captain, and the other half following the coach. Now they are all pulling in the rope the same way

Especially since the guy who had the most points has been out for the past month and they were still 10-3 with 2 of those being OTL’s. Once KC comes back, the Jets will be even bigger monsters.

Best goalie duo in the league. When your starter is a perennial Vezna candidate and your backup is a Stanley Cup winner.

I was actually surprised they got him back for a decent deal considering how good he was in the playoffs last year. Probably the best duo right now.

Officially the best team in the league. Jets have a team that can go far. Solid depth, good defense and a great goalie. Hope they make noise in the playoffs

Anytime Nate Schmidt scores I always get a big smile on my face. He's not the most talented dude in the NHL but he gives it his all and is a great locker room guy. GG Ducks!

How DARE these Winnipeg Jets find themselves in first place overall in the NHL! What with all the never-ending negativity from the cynics regarding no-trade clauses, free agents never wanting to go there; yeah yeah yeah, blah blah blah! Ducks seem to have some good goal tending especially their last game against Toronto their goalie had 55 saves and only 1 goal scored on him.

its funny ppl criticise the coyotes for having a tiny arena but its always full & always buzzin whatever the score & whatever the opposition, whereas affluent Ca has fans interested only when winning? the Ducks seem to have migrated.

People saying the Jets are good need to wake up. They aren’t tough enough to go all the way. You know who’s tough? The Minnesota Wild. Not afraid to high stick anyone on the opposing team right in the mouth, even the smallest youngest player, and even if someone else on the opposing team already answered the bell and fought. And then another guy answered the bell a second time and fought again. Even after all that, the Wild aren’t afraid to risk taking out a kids eye for something he had nothing to do with in a previous game. THAT’S tough. The Jets don’t stand a chance. Good coaching, incredible goaltending from both goalies, offensive depth,and commitment to team defence will only get you so far. If you aren’t willing to risk taking a 19 year old kid’s eye out with your stick, sorry but you don’t have what it takes for playoff hockey! Awesome job Sportsnet on barely covering this joke of a team all year, except to defend Ryan Hartman. Jamal Mayers rules, Jennifer Botterill drools.

Ah, yes, the homer announcer and his "... look at the screen in front... I mean, there's no chance for John Gibson... made me laugh. Gibson wasn't screened, he was looking around the screen and could see Ehlers fine. The issue was one of Gibson being out of position as he watched Ehlers set up. Saying he had no chance is specious, but these guys are all apologists for their team. Good game Jets, they've got themselves top of the heap with this kind of play.
