Habs fan here...no question the Kings are building a powerhouse...lots of skill. Habs could/should have made this more respectable. Lots of shots off the iron, and a fall over the linesman on goal 4. But I really like how Marty is letting the guys develop. Lots of lessons to learn from a good team like the Kings.

Nothing better than facing a superior team to better see where we need to improve. We are definitely missing another good power forward. Wait a minute...Kirby Dach maybe? We would also certainly need another good defense man who would solidify our zone. Wait, wait... David Savard, maybe? And a little talented toughness wouldn't hurt either. Like... maybe... Xhekay who apparently isn't good enough for us. I'm not saying that with these 3 players who are missing, we would have won. But when we're talking about a young team in reconstruction that hit two goals posts in this match, that wouldn't have hurt us either. We're on the right path.

I said Q will be our future Kopitar & will be our leader in 5 years from last year, I'm EXACTLY ON TRACK, Kings front office made sure they were not going to lose this future stud to mental break or loss of confidence they kept putting him out with our 2 best & stayed with it. Blake, Mac, Luuuke, genius, just imagine 6-5 moves like that, has skill, smarts, imagine 10 more pounds on him? .a Kopi on steroids, only thing that can keep us from the CF will be injuries, (pray folks) many a team were on the verge of Lord Stan but for..curse of injury & we know that better than any team.

Habs PK and PP are at the bottom of the league. With the talent on the roster, special teams coaching has to be much better. Burrows should have been fired long ago. MST doesn’t seem to react to his team lack of emotion and intensity. With Arber down in Laval, will there be any physicality on this team? We need a turnover now, through trades and other moves, before fans start boycotting the Bell center.

@@lndependentMind I’ll define it with names. On defence, Savard, Ghule and Matheson would fit on most top 15 teams (16 make the playoffs). Same numbers up front, Suzuki, Caufield, Monahan. Goalie-wise, we do need more. Hence my suggestions to make some changes. Except for the top 5 teams, most would come up with similar talent numbers regarding their roster. Losing Dach, with the performances he was showing, was a huge setback.
