Great game, but there was some sloppy defense going on. Good thing Samsonov was a ROCK out there. DAMN good game by him, he was DIALED IN... like they said, it's his ability to read the plays that was making the difference. Congrats to Matthews for 60 goals, and 1100 games for Tavares! A game of landmarks!

Matthews would easily have 75 if Marner wasn’t out the past 2-3 weeks and now he’s on LTIR because all their D men are hurt. Ppl try to act like that’s a negative towards Matthews as if he needs Marner to score goals. It’s not that but obviously they’ve played together so long they know where each other are at all times. They know what they’re gonna do and obviously Marner is a remarkable passer. Matthews still has a chance to hit 70. 10 goals in 9 games for the best goal scorer in the world. Especially if he has a hat trick in 1 of the games or a cpl 2 goal games. The crazy thing is he’s had 2 different stretches 1 early and 1 late in the season when he went a few weeks with only a few goals and dude still has 60 goals in 72 games. Savage!

How on earth did they win that game? That was the most fumbling performance I've seen from an NHL team in a while. The Leafs could not keep the puck on their sticks. The amount of times they lost control of the puck or overskated it was incredible.

@@nileswillis7992 Toronto beating Buffalo is never a given, especially when Buffalo has a terrible team. In fact, prior to their last two matches I used to tell my friend that Toronto shouldn't actually play Buffalo. They should just record a 5-2 loss and skip the effort.

League needs to start cracking down on players looking to injure opposing players when their team is losing and have no chance of winning the game, ie Rasmus Dahlin crosscheck on tj brodie with less than a minute to go, should make these sort of plays an automatic 3 game suspension

Bettman would have a stroke and would be firing and hiring new zebras for 2024-25 season. The league is designed to allow American small markets to be in the playoffs longer….otherwise it would be the 1-8 format
