This is not actually true. For that to be true, he’d have to be on a season pace for 1 goal a game with 13 games left. He is not scoring a goal a game. He’s on pace for about 66

@@assmane999 Shh don't spoil our hopes and dreams with math :p Jokes aside, I am considering that as long as he doesn't drop to needing more than a goal per game to hit 70, he's still "on pace" imo. We saw him go on a 2 goal per game run for 5 games lmao. Let's hope he pulls something like that out of the hat again before the 82nd game where he'll likely be rested.

Oilers are Canada’s realistic hope again this season, I say this as a Leafs fan. West finalists last season. Toronto will do their usual El foldo in the 1st round. Dubas and Keefe AHL champs 2018 but can’t figure it out at the NHL level. McDavid a true superstar. Toronto has overpaid underachievers. Good luck Oilers

@@moj9157 been watching hockey for over 50 years. Seen a lot of good teams ( none in Toronto except the Pat Burns teams and Quinn’s at least won playoff rounds 7 in 6 seasons. ) Leafs scored 3 goals total in the last 4 series ending games. The overpriced core 4 have yet to perform when it was needed. That is who they are unfortunately

Edmonton would be best in our conference if we had a better goalie. Skinner's performance was excellent, but he will need to play every single game like this if we wish to win the Cup.

In football, you need two solid quarterbacks. In chuckwagon racing, you need two good horse outfits. In hockey, you got to have two very good goaltenders. Can't keep tying one to the goal posts like Milhaus and expect to win every game. Oilers did it with Talbot a few years back, and they are doing it again with Skinner.

Someone already said it, but this teams biggest problem by far is its blue line. Darnell Nurse should at BEST be your fourth best defenseman, and certainly not your highest paid. Until that's rectified this team is going to continue to fall short no matter what galaxy McDavid raises his game to.

5:56 I just wanted to comment that, I feel #97 could have protected the puck and cut in front of that speedy D who nearly tracked him down. Yet, such are the tactics available to someone with #97’s speed, that suddenly punch turning outside and back around quite effectively puts that D out of position to stop a cross ice pass. We always talk about his speed, but for the sake of the kid watching-who’s trying to emulate him, perhaps we should also mention what an elite transitional skater he is. Always pretty amazing to watch 🙏 cheers.

Nauseating. And as much as I want to crap on Oettinger, I can't because even Vasilevskiy isn't stopping those chances. But yeah, going up against an Oilers team who hardly know what defense even is most nights and getting one pissing goal is inexcusable.

Don’t beat yourself up over it, Oilers have improved on defence drastically, they played a good game and Skinner played a good game. The Stars are still good, all teams have their stinkers, even the Bruins do. 👍

@@big_red01027 Stars ran into a hot Canucks team, and when a team is hotter than you are, it could very easily end badly for you, Oils were also pretty hot, and the Oilers are actually good this season and were also pretty hot at the same time. Also, no team is an easy win, anybody can beat anyone on any given night, perfect example was the Bruins vs Blackhawks game where the Hawks won 6-3 despite being the 2023 Hawks and the Bruins being the 2023 Bruins, also, the Oilers similarly got season swept by the Jackets, sometimes, stuff happens.

Vasilevskiy absolutely WOULD stop those chances. It would've went to OT at 1-1 if he was playing for the Stars. You should crap on Oettinger, he's an incredibly overrated goaltender because of ONE series. One series in which the team he goaltended against actually played Sutter hockey, hockey in which the team does more than twice the work for half the pay. Most backup goaltenders have been exposing the Flames this season, _HARD._ Oettinger's been playing worse than those backups.
