To be fair, they were not that bad tonight, not that bad vs Vancouver Game 2 (outshot them 40--16), not that bad vs Winnipeg (McDavid injured in 3rd does not finish game or OT, Jets get 5 Consecutive Powerplays in 2nd period)....3 VERY winnable games. If the Oilers have 5 Wins on the year instead of 2, we are having a much different Conversation....Same deal with Flames, how many 1 goal losses or game coming down to 1 or 2 plays?...I still say the seasons are fixable for BOTH Edmonton and Calgary....Vancouver thinks they have already won the Cup.....I have a feeling things will look a lot different by March.....or even December.

They refuse to address their goalie and defender situation. Selling Nugent-Hopkins or Draisaitl and buying a top defender and a goalie would do a lot for this team. They have too much offence at the moment and too fragile backend.

The only things I can think of are, the Dallas player skated back in to his zone with control of the puck, and/or Kane didn't touch it again... If Kane had touched it, maybe that'd be offside? I don't know??

My favorite was the second goal how 4 of the 5 oilers decided to turn their backs on the play and go to the bench at the same time. While the stars regrouped and had the puck right in front of their bench .

As a Flames fan, this kind of game makes me furious! We've done everything right. Signed useless players to long-term contracts. We have a fragile sieve in net. We've lost 6 in a row. We even lost head-to-head with the Oilers. Then the Oilers are facing a tired team on the road on a back-to-back, playing their backup goalie. So I'm thinking "Easy 2 points for the Oilers..." But NO! This is what we get instead! I mean look at this game. They coast through two periods, and then to rub salt in our wounds, they pretend to try for 20 minutes after they're down by a few goals! Despite our best efforts, Edmonton is still virtually even with us in the race for the best lottery odds. It looks like the Oilers just have too much experience and history and tradition and expertise in tanking! How does this even happen?!? They have the 2 best players in the world! It's simply unfair! The NHL needs to step in and do something to limit Edmonton's tanking mastery.

@@tamman994Skinner does not have the knack for low shot games yet. He does a lot better when he get's more shots.....McD and Drai were actually kind of BOTH off this game....Rarely do I say that. Bouchard 3 posts...Wedgewood had a very good game......Add it all up. Makes for a disappointing loss, move on to Nashville.

What has happened to McDavid this season?? Tonight against Dallas, He performed like he shouldn't even be playing at the NHL level... No hustle whatsoever & was easily checked off the puck all game... He looks completely confused & lost on the ice, & was a liability for the Oilers tonight... Yikes!! 😂😂

Oilers already won their stanely cup, in beating the Flames. Wonder if McDavid came back prematurely, may result in a worse/longer injury...but at least they beat the injury riddled/punchless Flames.

Ken Holland is a terrible GM. He has been for years. He inherited 3 generational talents, the largest payroll and no cap in Detroit. In the cap world they would have won 3 cups with a smarter GM. His terrible contracts and trades have crippled the Oilers. The Oilers have the most talented player the league has seen in decades, arguably and they haven't even made a cup final yet.

Don't worry everyone after the Oilers will win one game in five you will think they are headed for the finals. I knew the Oilers wouldn't be as good as everyone said they would be. Just like last nights game a great example leaving their goaltender out to dry they cannot play defense whats so ever even with the best goaltender in the league they would never make it to the finals that is how poor they are defensively
