@@Ed0n Nope, not a bruins fan or a Sharks fan. Just an Unbiased fellow Referee that has a differing opinion than that of the on-ice official. He wasnt denied a scoring oppotunity and thus the penalty shot was the incorrect call, thats just the way the rule is written. But since he called the penalty shot on the play, he cant overturn that after reviewing the video, as potential penalty shots are not reviewable calls. He made his call, it was incorrect, simply as that. Life goes on, grow up, and resorting directly to insults when you dont agree with someone just makes you looks more incorrect and biased than you already were. Have a good day.

@Six Beer Math I sincerely hope you aren't referring the first instance in that play that Marchand places his stick on coutures arm, cause the first one wasnt a hook, it was when he turned his stick around it became a hook. And couture had already made a move to the backhand before he was hooked, his move was not forced by the hook, he was so close to rask that he couldn't have gotten a "good shot" the hook did not impede his ability to make the move he did and thus scoring opportunity remains just that, a scoring opportunity. He was hooked, but it didnt take away his scoring chance, therefore it's a minor for hooking and nothing more. You're free to disagree, just know that you're wrong

@Six Beer Math look how close he was to rask, like come on dude use your eyes. There was no way to get a "good" shot from that distance, he committed to the move before the hook, the hook did not in any way effect the likelihood of the shot going In. It nearly went in regardless of the hook, just accept the fact that you're wrong, it makes it way easier the earlier you accept it.
