Thank you again for your interest! This is the recital of a poem by So Sik, a scholar who lived 1000 years ago in China. The theme of this poem is to lament how even great heroes perish like waves, and life is as fragile as dreams. "Gone to the east is the river. Huge waves wash away heroes of a thousand years. On the west side of the castle, they say that was where the Great Battle of the Red Cliff happened. The rocks look like mountains breaking through the clouds of waves, when the waves are battering against the shore. Foam on top of the waves seem like thousand piles of snow. Beautiful is the great river and the mountains. How many great men vanished? I can still imagine General Chow who just married Little Cute. He was so confident with sure-win countenance. He dressed as a gentle scholar wearing a scarf with a fan in his hand. In the chatting and smiling, all the opponents’ battleships were burnt to ash. My spirit ventured back in history to the ancient kingdoms. You may say that I'm too sentimental. And that is why my hair turned white so early. (Sigh!) Life is but a dream. Let me offer the river and the moon a bottle of wine. Cheers! Hope you can also share the lament of life in this poem. The feeling is quite the same throughout human history.

謝謝你的關注! 朗誦是希望把古人的情感重現於今日聽眾面前。‘’華‘’ 與 ‘’花” 都是花朵的意思。 早生華髮，是頭髮很早變白。如果讀做陽平聲(華)音調比較低，而讀做陰平聲(花)，聲調較高。高音較能將白色的頭髮在頭頂燦然發亮的感覺表現出來。 這一來，聲韻表達方面，較生動，所以我選用了‘’花‘’音而沒有讀做‘’華‘’音。
