You know? As a kid, Rabbit annoyed me for being so uptight. But now that I'm an adult, I related to him so much more. This poor bunny gets eaten out of house and home, then gets that entitled guest stuck in his door, and his produce is constantly ruined by Tigger. I know Rabbit can get bossy sometimes, but with this group of friends, I'd be frustrated too.

Some things you should know about Winnie the Pooh: 1. The world is simple and silly. Dont take things too seriously. 2. Everyone except for Christopher Robin, Rabbit, Gopher, and Owl is a stuffed animal. 3. Christopher Robin was a real person. His father came up with the Winnie the Pooh book series based on his kid's adventures with his stuffed animals. (The toys are in a museum now.) 4. The books (and Disney movies) are absolute classics. 5. It doesn't hurt Eeyore when his tail is pulled off or hammered back. No need to worry. 6. Heffalumps and Woozles are incorrect spellings of Elephants and weasels and in the Winnie the Pooh world, they are creatures to be feared. 7. Piglet is a he.

To explain the Piglet thing with his house. Piglet isn’t a brave character and he doesn’t like confrontation. He also cares about his friends, so on one hand, he doesn’t want to give up his house but he doesn’t want confrontation and he wants his friend to have a place to live. You definitely get a more defined vision of their personalities, strengths and weaknesses in the movie I suggested in another comment.

@@ravenm6443 So true, I would probably need to rewatch it since it's been such a long while, but I agree with what you say. I think the fact they all relied on Christopher Robin too much, made it hard to see how good they are when he's not there, and making them feel their strenghts have only been stronger because Christopher Robin was there. It's also interesting how Kanga and Roo weren't really apart of this adventure, but when you think of it, you can't really see any strenghts or flaws with them, plus Roo still being a child, they don't really have flaws and besides Roo has their own film with the Hefflalup movie. The Tigger Movie is also a really sweet film as well. Generally looking past appearance and seeing your true family standing before you. I think it was set up extremely well, because even in the very first scenes we see of Tigger, he sings about being the only Tigger, and in most cases it feels nice, being an individual, but not feeling like you have a family that could be there for you would feel extremely lonely. (Also Owl just sucks in both of these films, I'm glad he's never really been a focus in the movies.) I also love how some of the little episodes can be dark and sad, like Rabbit and Kessie. Which, I'm sure a lot of parents who watched it with their kids could relate or in the future will relate to it. And I even remember Spring time with Roo, the scene with Rabbit and Tigger while they use the book to look at the past, and see how if affected Rabbit and how depressed he sounds. I think that's what I love about them using the book in many ways for the story, able to protray things differently for everyone; almost like seeing it for another character's point of view.

This whole entire franchise is one that I think you'd love. It may not have ground-breaking stuff but it is filled with a colorful charm. Winnie the Pooh has a very long and rich history with the Disney company and I'm sure you'd enjoy all of what it would bring (both in films and the show he had). Hey nick the reason that Christopher Robin lives alone in the woods with no adults is because it's all based on his imagination. Christopher Robin was the son of the author A.A Milne, and when he was a little boy he had a bunch of stuffed animals consisting of a Bear, Piglet, Donkey, tiger and a kangaroo. He would take his stuffed animals and go on adventures with them in the beautiful ancient Woodlands near his family's country home in England. His father took the adventures of his young son with his stuffed animals and turned them in to a childrens book all about a young child and his adventures with his stuffed animal friends in the fictional hundred acre wood. The real boy was actually called Christopher Robin and his stuffed animals were all named the same as in the books, winnie, Kanga, roo, Pihlet Tigger and eyeore. He also added the origional characters of Owl and Rabbit in to the books and when Disney adapted the stories years later they added the new character of Gopher. That's why eyeore's tail is beld kn with a pin and he doesnt feel pain when they put it in the characters are all stuffed animals rather than actual animals, also Piglet despite the voice is actually a male lol.

I think his name wasn't actually Christopher Robin. The movie "Goodbye Christopher Robin" is about the making of Winnie the Pooh and how it affected the author's family. Once the story took off in popularity, the fans started calling the son Christopher Robin, to the son's annoyance. Edit: my bad, his name was Christopher Robin, but his family called him Billy Moon as a nickname.
@TherealRNOwwfpooh
@TherealRNOwwfpooh Жыл бұрын
@@pie1o1morris46 His name was Christopher Robin Milne. He died in 1996. His daughter Clare Milne was born with cerebral palsy since CR married his first cousin Leslie (his maternal uncle's daughter). In his memoirs, CR openly lamented upon how he was picked on during his early school years for his ties to his father's famous stories based on his preschool misadventures in Ashdown Forest (The actual 100 Acre Wood in real life) and once he grew up, he simply wanted to succeed on his own merits without having to rely on Pooh royalties due to the commercialization Disney did to the brand. It wasn't necessarily that Christopher Robin Milne hated his famous teddy bear by any means as many posted articles & associated comments would like to have you think, but rather, he just sought to focus on the things that currently interested him (in other words, he was living in the moment, instead of remaining stuck in the past). "In the end, I would've liked to think that Pooh understood & someday, you will, too." ~CR when writing to a young girl fan of the Pooh characters who was upset upon thinking that the boy who originally owned Pooh & friends somehow detested his longtime childhood toys & perhaps even resented being recognized as the actual Christopher Robin due to how popular the Pooh property has become~

@@pie1o1morris46 Now, to be fair, CR did, for a long time, resent his father for writing the Pooh stories, feeling that his dad basically stole his childhood from him by putting it into the books. Due to his generally quiet, introverted nature, he also didn't particularly care for the celebrity status which the Pooh brand generated either, which made his & Leslie's decision to run their own bookshop business a bit of a confusing one, because they did what they felt capable of doing whilst trying to raise their daughter in the upstairs loft above the bookstore, yet they surely had to have been aware that running a bookshop even just a reasonable distance away from the Milne family Estate in Sussex (and by proxy, thereby just a small trek to reach Ashdown Forest [the real life 100 Acre Wood], too) would result in Christopher Robin having to interact with die-hard readers of the Pooh books his father had written (although the elder Milne tried repeatedly to write about more mature topics, the only thing that people seemed to want from him was more fun adventures with Pooh & friends, so A. A. Milne died regretting the ongoing timelessness of the Pooh books because their perpetual success permanently stigmatized him as a children's author for the rest of his life when he desperately wanted to be taken seriously as a writer instead of just being remembered as the creator of the Pooh stories & after visiting his father on his deathbed to finally come to terms with the shared personal grudge that both father & son equally felt towards the seemingly overnight commercialization of the Pooh brand, Christopher Robin never spoke to either of his parents again, not even going to see his mother Darlene Milne anymore before she passed, in all likelihood because of the rift in the family which was left unresolved between her & her brother/Chris's maternal uncle/his first cousin & wife Leslie's father), with some even maybe recognizing the former Billy Moon as an adult & stubbornly refusing to separate the genuine article away from the fictional namesake bearing his name which his father -- and years later, The Walt Disney Company -- had cultivated. Yes, he had been that young boy once upon a time, but he was now an adult with a family of his own to provide for & thus, CR only ever wanted to do things his own way without needing to rely on the famous legacy of his childhood, yet Clare's medical expenses due to being born with cerebral palsy -- which, no doubt, likely occurred as the direct consequence of her incestuous parentage -- ultimately forced him to cave in & take the money afforded to him by the Pooh royalties, subsequently pressuring him to face the reality that he would always be looked at as the definitive Christopher Robin, so he would need to make peace with knowing that, although he will always be THE Christopher Robin of his father's stories which were later adapted into a popular franchise by Disney, he was still able to do as well as he could without necessarily having to allow the world to interject itself into his personal life.

Pooh is described in the books as a "bear of very little brain." So he's not intentionally trying to be mean, he's just bumbling his way through life as best as he can. These stories were written by A. A. Milne for his young son Christopher Robin, and they were based off of the stuffed animals that he had. This is why you see the characters calling Christopher Robin for help so often. He's almost like the adult in this world. The animals are pretty simple-minded, and Christopher Robin is the voice of wisdom and helpful advice. When Christopher Robin goes away to school, it just means that he won't physically be home to play with his toys. If he's not playing with them, then new storylines aren't being created. Also, keep in mind that even in the cartoons, the animals aren't real. They might talk and walk around, but they're doing it as stuffed animals. So when Pooh falls out of the honey tree, or Eeyore's tail needs to be pinned back on, they're not actually being hurt, they're not actually real.

Well, they are real to Christopher Robin (and later Darby [see "My Friends Tigger and Pooh"] -- who was voiced by the girl who was Hit Girl in _Kick Ass_ -- as well as Doc McStuffins when the 100 Acre Wood characters made a cameo on that Disney Junior show), but they are only sentient in both his (and fan's) imaginations.

I totally get how Pooh's behavior can be off-putting because of how seemingly careless he is about everyone and everything around him. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that he's actually only 4 years old despite sounding older (Christopher Robin's 5). When you view his behavior through that lens, he comes across a lot more pure and innocent rather than outright selfish. If you end up checking out any of the spin-offs and sequels, I think you'll like him a lot more because there's a conscious effort in a lot of later Pooh films to give him some development and show a sense of selflessness. Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin and the 2011 Winnie the Pooh movie should help a lot in that regard (keep in mind that 2011 retcons Grand Adventure in terms of continuity since both are meant to be direct sequels to Many Adventures, so you're going to see a plot device from Grand Adventure get reused in a different way in 2011 if you watch both). And if Tigger's your favorite, you'll love The Tigger Movie which stands on its own.

For all it's love and simplicity, the Pooh books and characters have forever changed philosophy and personality types. "The Dao of Pooh" books explore how closely the morals in these English books mirror eastern philosophies of life. And there are now tests to show which character everyone is and how to get along with them despite their great differences to your own type. For example, if you are a rabbit, you may not get along with Tiggers or Poohs but every place needs them as much as they do you. It's very big in workplace team building....

As a long time fan of Winnie the Pooh and especially the character of Pooh himself (I still have a few of the movies on VHS from when I was little), I really enjoyed watching you react to the first movie ever made of it! Your laughter and comments were both really sweet and incredibly endearing and the glow you had throughout the video was contagious. I couldn't stop smiling and giggling along with you, especially when you were getting into the songs and showed so much excitement for Tigger's appearance and his segment. Your empathy for the characters (most notably Piglet and Tigger as well as Rabbit) really showed how invested you were in their characters and the stories themselves, and while a few of the main cast weren't your biggest favorite, I loved watching your reaction and hearing your thoughts and who your favorites were in spite of that! I definitely agree with how Piglet gave up his house to Owl made me upset as a kid bc it felt unfair to me that he had to do that over a misunderstanding of the sign and not speaking up and I could really relate at that time to how hard it was for Piglet to speak up and how he definitely wanted to be selfless and keep the peace, and despite being an adult now and knowing why he did it I still feel bad for Piglet anyways, and I think that's completely natural to feel. You can still understand it was Piglet being kind while also empathizing with how upset it made him to give up his house; it by no means is a bad or wrong interpretation of it, bc I've personally always held the view that people can take away any feelings the movies or characters give them and it wouldn't be wrong bc the movie Does want to make you empathize and feel for their plights! All of that said (before I ramble for too long), I just greatly loved and appreciated your reaction. It made me so happy to see one of my favorite reactors check out an animated property that's held so near and dear to my heart and to live vicariously through your reaction to it all over again. Throughout your reaction, I was just reminded of why I loved the movies so much-- bc of the joy it brings to so many people. And seeing the joy it brought you was one of the nicest and sweetest things I've seen today. Thank you so much for sharing your reaction and keep up the absolutely phenomenal work! (And if you ever venture into Winnie the Pooh territory again, Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search For Christopher Robin, The Tigger Movie, A Very Merry Pooh Year, Seasons of Giving (specifically for the Find Her, Keep Her story!), and Christopher Robin (2018) are a few of the ones I highly recommend, as to this day they've always left such a big impression on me as well as making me emotional and leaving my heart feeling warm and fuzzy)

Yes, I agree about Tigger being the most fun. He was always my favorite character in the Winnie the Pooh series. As for Rabbit, I used to think as a little kid he was this bossy, know-it-all, uptight character who just wasn't much fun. But as I got older, I began to realize more and more that Rabbit also had his own good points. And just trying to get all of your hard grown vegetables harvested to survive the long winter ahead only to have this perpetually hyperactive bouncy tiger of a creature just pounce right on you and destroy it all, that has to be the epitome of frustration for Rabbit.

A childhood classic! Not for excitement or for tear-jerking, but for just existing and exemplifying those long summer afternoons and evenings experienced by children. I haven't watched this one all the way through in a great number of years, but I've absolutely rewatched the Heffalumps and Woozles sequence for its surrealism and its eerie vibes. Whenever I see Winnie the Pooh animated, I'm _always_ reminded of the TV show The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, its theme song, and the burst of nostalgia serotonin that comes with it. (Maybe that's how I forgot how low-key rude this Pooh in Many Adventures is lol)

And thats also why Pooh could use a baloon to float. Hes very light despite being so round. Before being a Disney thing, Winnie the pooh was a character in books and poems written by A.A. Milne. A.A. Milne wrote down the many stories he told his child, all about his kid's stuffed animals and the many adventures they could go on. His son was named Christopher Robin Milne, and Christopher's favourite stuffed animal was his bear, named Winnie the pooh.

Uh…so I’m thinking you missed the point of the film in a way. It’s mostly simple and symbolic of the childhood and growth of children. It gains significantly more meaning when you realize why these stories are written they way they are (the mind of a child) and the knowledge that eventually Christopher Robin will leave these woods forever, and the animals will never forget him. The jokes are also pretty adult, cuz they try to poke fun at regular conventions through the inquisitive mind of a child. Anyway, it’s disappointing but I guess it might only be understood if you grew up with the franchise.

You don't have to worry about the pain because all the animals, except Gopher, are stuffed animals. About Gopher, if he looks familiar for you, maybe it's because his design is based of the beaver in " The Lady and the Tramp ". I have a very cute story about Roger Carel who voiced Winnie, Coco Rabbit and Piglet in the french version. He was in a book signing when he heard a woman saying to her daughter whl he was but when the little girl looked at him, she didn't seems convince. So, he said to her " Mais, tu ne me, tu ne me reconnais pas ? " (" But, you don't recognize me ? " in english) with Piglet's voice and after that she had a big smile and said to her grandmother she saw Piglet.

The first part with Pooh looking for honey was called Winnie The Pooh and the Honey Tree, which released in 1966, and was the only one Walt Disney himself was alive for the release of. The second one- Winnie The Pooh and the Blustery Day, was everything from the windy day up to Pooh's hero party. This released in 1968 and actually won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film. The 3rd and last one, released in 1974, was Winnie The Pooh and Tigger Too, which was all about Tigger's bouncing. :)

I don't know if you caught on to this so, just in case: the characters Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, and Roo are, actually, all stuffed animals (they belong to Christopher Robin). That's why Eeyore's tail is attached by a little nail and it doesn't really hurt him. That's, also, why they always run to Christopher Robin for help. He's the closest thing they have to an authority figure, since this is basically his fantasy world. Rabbit, Owl, and Gopher are, actually, wild forest animals, which is why their designs are a little more realistic and don't have the stuffed animal stitching that characters like Pooh and Eeyore do. (The film kinda figures the older audience knows most of this 'cause the original A.A. Milne books are so famous/popular so, they don't put too heavy of an emphasis on spelling it out). P.S. Piglet is actually supposed to be a boy (I heard you call him "she" a couple times). The man who voiced him, John Fiedler, had a very unique soft/high natural voice and, actually, sounded very similar to Piglet in real life, as well. It's funny, if you imagine what Piglet might look like as a real person... that's pretty much what John Fiedler looked like 😆(a gentle-looking little man with glasses).

Milne/Mr. Narrator would look like when they had Laurie Main portray him in-person and then introduce the adventures of Pooh & friends (performed as costumed characters) and even interact with the characters by way of the big story book he had. In _The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh_ (the 1990's animated series that originally got its start airing on ABC every Saturday before moving to the Disney Channel & later, Toon Disney) we got to see Mrs. Milne in animated form whenever she interacted with her son.

Yo Nick Winnie the Pooh was originally voiced by The Late Sterling Holoway. He's a Disney Legend. After his Death in 2000. Another Voice Acting Legend Jim Cummings took over the role of Pooh and Tigger. I love Voice Acting. Voice Actors deserve recognition than Celebrities KZfaqrs need to react to Voice Actors

Jim Cummings actually started doing Pooh's voice in the 80's tv series. Paul Winchell voiced Tigger originally here and still up to his death in 2005. Jim also did Tigger's voice starting in the 90's for some of the shows.

The songs are wonderfully singable, no matter how long it has been since you saw the movie.

Walt Disney himself didn’t live to see this completed, but somehow managed to secure the rights with A.A. Milne before his death.
I wish I could change THIS fast! 🤣
