Your Nick's look like there on the HNW last? Even if it's the 55... Have you looked into Frank's? Frank and his family use to own Nick's before '16. Anyways, Frank's seems to be have more options and a few more lasts. Their turnaround is way faster as well. You can even call and speak to Frank directly if you have specific things you want or to last built to your measurements.

I bought a pair of Franks patriots for $350- the best boots Ive ever owned. They fit perfectly & are super comfortable. Its hard to believe such a quality boot exists for that kind of cash. The fit & finish is not up there with the 6 & 7 hundred dollar boots but, I purchased em for work only, -- basicly

White's was founded around 1860, almost all the other pnw brands came from whites later on, except for wesco and viberg that I know of.

Sounds like the "JK-ot" might work out for you a little better as they are suppose to be lighter. I do not own a pair myself. Just what Ive gleaned over time. Through videos & the like.

The OT is fuckin awesome! Love my pair. I'm too into boots and have like 5-6 pairs of pnw's but the ot's are some of my favorites. Though I'm lucky and the 55 last is perfect for my arches right out of the box, so they're pretty much all awesome for me 😅

A local cobbler can get that eyelet put back on for like $10 That way your laces wont rip too big of a hole on that eyelet while you are continuing to wear them and cause irreparable damage.

I'm happy with my Nick's Tactical and while they don't have all that leather you hit it on the head when you said they fit like a glove (once I got the gusseted tongue and kilties set up). While I'm far from being an elitist, the other guards on site are buying the same garbage Bates or Lugz every couple years. I used to wear Danners but they discontinued their Striker EMS which was a great boot when I was working in a hospital. Best work boots I own (and I've been in Red Wings, Worx and Danner) and they'll be with me until the end of my career (heh I'm 52).
