Navy makes us sign a paper to not talk about battle stations to civilians and recruits who have not completed the course but they break their own rule 😂😂😂.

All I can say was battlestations was the most stressful and fun thing ive ever been through. I cried during the capping ceremony lol and I usually hate being dramatic.

Just got outta bootcamp about a month ago, battle stations is real affffff. Just don’t fall asleep and use the skills you’ve learned and use common sense and you’ll be fine! Alsooooo be friends with your port/starboard watch so they don’t give you watch the night before 😂

Just graduated 3 days ago, Bootcamp is what you make it honestly, if you stay focused, study, and perform well throughout bootcamp then battlestations will be both stressful and fun at the same time, just pay attention through bootcamp and you’ll do fine

Even during Army Basic Training and Infantry School when I went through. The Drill Sergeants killed off the most confident and competent squad leaders during any combat exercise because most people are followers not leaders. When the guys who followed were in shock because they couldn't make decisions and the entire group, squad, or platoon would fail on purpose and by design. Army Basic Training usually give other recruits to be leaders during training while the platoon is run by the Drill Sergeant's chosen squad leaders and platoon guide. That also rotated after the first 4 weeks during Basic. They never rotated squad members but squad members can become squad leaders anytime during the first 8 weeks of Basic or cycle. If you are competent and the rest of your squad are competent by what the Drill Sergeant sees or you are incompetent. You get rotated out. My squad was full of knuckleheads. My Drill Sergeant kept me as squad leader till graduation from 8 weeks of Basic and the 5 weeks of Infantry School AIT. I never became platoon guide because my Drill Sergeants knew I could keep my knuckleheads together just to graduate Basic and Infantry AIT. The platoon guide was just the messenger to the squad leaders. The squad leaders made things happen. In the 4 squads in my platoon, each of the 3 squads rotated 3 to 4 squad leaders except mines. Thank god for 4 years of Army JROTC in high school. Learn everything before getting in the Army and learn to be a leader. Not to be smarty pants but teach everybody in your squad and platoon. Not to be popular but get it done! If you fuck up. You pay and your squad and platoon pays the price for fucking up. For your guys, they have to listen up and understand the task and complete it. Just make it happen. In the civilian world, majority of companies like to have incompetent cock suckers as managers as long as it doesn't involve machinery or products. Industries like casino security requires incompetent leaders as to make sure the security director or supervisor makes all the calls and looks good. Any fuck ups can be blamed on their subordinates even if it means other people's lives are at stake. Of course this is not real combat but a battle of law suits.

Got out of boot 2 weeks ago, so BST is pretty fresh in my mind. With the new curriculum, it was super easy for me and the rest of my group. You just need to focus on keeping up morale and working as a group and you'll do fine.

My son just passed and became a sailor this week. One of the proudest moments of my life.

tip: don't argue with your teammates no matter how confusing or frustrating each evolution gets, it can get really tiring but don't sleep and apply everything they taught during bootcamp. graduation in no time!!

Also I hear in BMT that during redline/beast which is the USAF BST21 thing they get to sleep in tents which sounds easier that theme park ship made me so tired all I wanted to do was sleep maybe that's why switching my cap out was moving
