音楽を専攻している学校でなく、普通の高校でこれが部活動だというのが凄すぎる。 さらには入部したては、ほとんど素人同然の子達がやりとげているのは　尊敬でしかない。 汗と涙の結晶なんだろうと思うと涙が出ます。

The are high school students and must go to high school like everyone else. The Band is a "Club" an after school, before school, on weekends and holidays activity. It's work, but you see the results.

In all my years I've never seen a High School Band better than this I've also seen USC LSU Alabama Michigan College bands but none of them are as good as Kyoto Tichibana SHS 👍

Kyoto Tachibana HS Band is the most entertaining, best known, high school marching band in the WORLD. Did you notice the flute player who performs with use of a prostetic leg? Amazing, Inspirational, hard working and unassuming youngsters most of whom are unaware of their international following.

One of the flute players has a prosthetic leg. She did all of the movements the rest of the band did. Check out the rose parade band festival field show on 12/31/2017. It's the same year band at Disney land

Thank you for reacting to Kyoto Tachibana Again! Please react to more videos from them! Yes, they performed in Anaheim Disneyland which is in California, USA. This was before they participated in the Tournament of Roses Parade, which was the video of them that you previously reacted to. The song they performed in this video is called Sing Sing Sing which was written by Louis Prima in 1935 and made famous by Benny Goodman. Sing Sing Sing is Tachibana’s song that they are well known for. For this particular performance, they had 200 members because they were going to be participating in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Over half of the band at that time were alumni from the 2010-2017 graduating classes. Normally though, the band is a little less than half that size. The band practices about 38 hours a week, 360 days a year. So they have exactly 5 days off only. This is an after school activity club. The band is 90%-95% female and 5%-10% male. This is because Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School used to be an all girls high school and then they went coed in 2000. Also, marching bands in Japan are considered to be a feminine activity. Therefore, most boys participate in other after school club activities like baseball, soccer, archery, track and field, etc. I look forward to your next reactions on Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Band! Yes, they have hundreds of videos on KZfaq. I recommend taking a look at their competitions that they’ve won in the past. You will see their amazing choreography that they do. Also, songs, dance routines, and choreography are all done and taught by the students themselves. The seniors teach the newer students the ropes on how to do things. Yes they do, because band practice is carried out outside formal school hours. The precision you note is a feature of all brass bands. The degree to which precision is achieved is scored in nation-wide competitions. Last year’s competitions were cancelled because of covid so instead, Kyoto Tachibana entered an on-line tournament. The were in California to March in the Rose Parade. While they were there, they did benefit concerts and field show marching competitions. The Parade on New Years day 2018 was 5 miles long.

You need to watch the Pasadena Bandfest. You will love that one. I corresponded with one of the guy and his wife that take a few of them in to stay for the rose parade & Disneyland exc. He was telling me for each student it cost $3,000.00 U.S. Dollars to bring just them doesn't include all the equipment.

The 1st instruments were Baritones, the big instruments are Sousaphones, they weigh from 8kg - 23kg. I LOVE Tachibana, pretty much all the You Tube recommendations are them. I've watched them all already, but it's always nice to go back and rewatch because you ALWAYS see something new, something you didn't notice the 1st time watching it because there is SOOOOO much going on in their performances. They used to practice 7 days a week, usually around 4 hours Monday - Friday, before and after school, and up to 12 hours on Saturday-Sunday and holidays (Not sure if that's still what they do or not though), they even practice when school is out for summer. Hello Nielsens, I see that you are back. Good. The first Tuba-like instrument that you pointed out is known as the Euphonium. A bit smaller than a Tuba; which is shoulder mounted during a parade. The second instrument is known as the Sousaphone. It was developed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by members of The united States Marine Corps Band, as an easier to transport Tuba. Some marching bands will use both. SHS means senior high school, age 15 thru 18. Every year 3rd grade is graduates but performance is same, prefer improved.

こちらではディズニーランドでのパレードでシングシングシングを見たんだね。旦那さんもまんざらじゃない顔してたのがいいねぇ。でも奥さんは話したいことがあるのか、いちいち止めるのがダメ。橘の良さが半減してしまう。

Good day from Japan! The girls practice before and after classes everyday and on week ends, but actually their high school does have a tough curriculum!! Actually ta chan! is only meaning "cute" in Japanese in this case! Their nickname is "Orange Devils" Even so, they have won only a few of the yearly National competitions!
