This is an after school club. They practice about 38 hours/week 51 weeks/year. They do allow themselves a 3 day summer vacation. While doing this they have to maintain a 3.0 grade point average to participate in the band. The members choose the music to be played and a group of 5 members work out the choreography for parades and even more complex choreography for stage performances. Even their orange uniforms were designed by a graduate of the school who went on for a career in fashion design. They are known as the orange devils because they have a habit of winning band competitions.

Nice reaction. 5.5 miles of continuous marching, playing, and dancing! Amazing determination!! No other band even attempts to dance the entire length of the Rose parade!

一般的なマーチングがどういうものか知っていると彼女たちのパフォーマンスがどれだけ特別か分かるでしょう。演奏をしながら歩くだけでも大変なのに複雑なステップを交えています、このローズパレードはゴールまで9km, 2時間の道のりです。あり得ないですよね！これが京都橘バンドがオレンジの悪魔たちと呼ばれる所以です。

You ask what kind of genre this is. It is a unique marching brass band genre developed by the band’s students. It can be called “march, dance and play”. Great videos of them will appear if you paste [ 京都橘高等学校吹奏楽部 Kyoto Tachibana ] into your browser. This performance was at the Rose Parade in California on New Year’s Day 2018. The event is extremely popular in the US. The band had been invited to participate for the second time in six years; a rare honour. They marched in the same energetic way for 8.9 kms. One of the students, a flautist, has a prosthetic leg, but she danced and played just like her teammates. In this performance, a little under half the 200 players are alumni. The band is in fact an extracurricular school club with around 100 members. The club is run by the students themselves who develop their own choreography. @@nielsensTVDK Thanks for the reply. Note: they are not a girls' band. There are boys there as well, who are as talented and practise as hard as their girl colleagues. Boys too, can support the band's human and feminine values!

The Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Band is also known as the Orange Devils because they tend to win a lot of band competitions. They're known all over the world as one of the best high school performance bands around.

@@nielsensTVDK Aloha, greetings from Hawaii. KT comes to Hawaii often, unfortunately not to the island I'm on. Here is a video of them performing either on the island of Maui or Kauai. They have probably about 500 videos check out the Pasadena Bandfest there in also they do Benefits concerts. And they appear at Disneyland in Anaheim California. Search you tube you will find all of there performances.

There are many videos of the Kyoto Tachibana High school band, This is from the Rose bowl parade in Pasadena , California. It is a 5 mile course. You should check out their " Sing, Sing, Sing ". It is considered to be their signature song.

Hi Neilsens, thank you for posting your reaction video. There are more than 250 videos of this Brass Band Club. If you noticed the elderly gentleman, who is following the young Lady that is bearing " The Green Band " flag. She later became the Drum Major for the 116th Term ( 2019-2020 ). That elderly gentleman is Hisashi Hiramatsu. He founded this Band in 1961. He is celebrating his 83rd Birthday by marching with Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School in the Tournament of Roses Parade of Pasadena, California. He passed away last month on March 13, 2021 at the age of 86. He will be missed.

Here's a compilation of two " Fire Ball " performances. One taken at the beginning of the march of the Tournament of Roses Parade of rose covered floats. The first performance on the beginning street and the second after the corner was turned onto Colorado Street; which you have seen and reacted too. This video offers a few close ups. Please react to more of their videos, especially “Sing Sing Sing” which is their song that they are well known for. The amount of time that they practice is a lot. 360 out of 365 days per year about 38 hours per week. This is just an after school activity. These kids prepare to enter Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School starting in Elementary school.

What happend with your sound it's sounds terrible . Not only the video but also your voices . KT is the best band in the world . The have many many video's on KZfaq . It is a high school band and they practice 40 hours a week next to school . They only have 3 days of holiday a year only practice and more practice
