(Based on my understand) The ark was meant to bring the memories of the robots and androids to be shot into space to go for the rest of an eternity for the ark. Preserving it. I had thought of this as a way to not forget the past or everything that happened during the game. Am I the only one that views the destruction of the ark before it shoots sort of selfish?

She was alone all that time and carried her own burdens with no one to rely on and yet carried it and saw everything through to the end, i believe she's a kind girl despite her exterior to fulfill 2B's final wish to take care of everyone and the future.

@@xavier440x Choosing 9S gets you the D ending. Choosing A2 gets you the C ending. Completing both endings grants you the chance to trigger E in the credits of either of those 2 endings, so long as both of them have been completed

"Bad Endings" don't exist in this game, its either Main Endings or Joke Endings :p

Nono, youre right, it kinda is the bad ending. Neither of them really need to die or fight to begin with, but choosing 9S makes it to where they both do, and the Tower resumes its regular function. At least in A2's ending she saves 9S and gets rid of the machine network once and for all

A2 was pretty clear about it, dunno exactly what is hard to understand about it lol. 2B (or 2E now) was made to kill 9S (or any YoRHa unit) if he got out of hand with finding the truth. Obviously 2B didn't like that as she spend more time with 9S.

It was pretty well explained by A2. 2B(E) was designed to kill YoRHa units that got out of line. Her designation was to kill the model 9S whenever he got close to finding out about YoRHa. Which is also why the Commander freely told him about human's being extinct. 2B(E) fell in love with 9S, but her programming forced her to kill him every single time which took a toll on her. It's why she acts so cold and withdrawn from him throughout the game. She doesn't want to feel sad when she inevitably has to kill him. Eventually she dies, and with no 2E to kill him, he eventually went completely mad. Which is extra sad because even IF she hadn't died, she would have killed him eventually - and without the Bunker, he would have been gone forever.

I think it was an access point to the machine's network. By shutting down the network she stopped the machine virus. With no more machine network the tower was no longer held together by the machine structures and collapsed killing A2 but saving 9S.
