Night In A Foggy Trench - WW1 Ambience | Distant Artillery & Thunderstorms

It's Winter 1917 WW1, and your spending the cold foggy night in the trenches with your regiment. Its a quiet evening and the weather is below zero. All you can think about is being back at home in England with your loved ones but that's a distant dream which you can only wish to come as soon as possible. For know you lay down in your dugout and relax for a few hours listening to the sound of thunder and the skies above roaring with the sound of distant artillery. You are in relative safety for now, but come tomorrow, you will face the horrors of this bloody war that has claimed soo many lives.

I used to fall asleep to old British WW2 docs when that's all the History Ch ran. The sound was dubbed and the narration was a muted BBC radio guy... perfect to nod off to.

What this needs is some chatter every now and then some planes flying over a little bit of anti-air and some dynamic weather like you could hear it approaching. It’ll be a downpour then it stops after a while.

I sleep with this “music” (if you can even call it that) now because I feel so.. safe, I sleep with it on because I get the feeling of someone watching over me protecting me with bullets keeping the bad thoughts away as I sleep, like being cuddled to bed but instead of cuddles it someone with a gun protecting you from all the bad thoughts and tangos that are lurking near by, surprisingly comforting for my lonely ass..

@@sound_illusion the 1914 trenches were pretty rudimentary compared to later war ones. You could make it from the German side and add a Charlie Brown Christmas tree Thank you in advance.

Hey thanks man and my setup is , studio monitors KRK Rokit speakers , headphones are audio technica ATH-M50x, my audio interface is a Roland rubix and I produce mix and master in Logic Pro x on my iMac and use many external vst plugins kontakt omnisphere, waves etc..
