I relate to this on a very personal level. My grandma recently abused me (around 2 years ago which is, like, a week ago in trauma time) and my parents sided with her during that time. My dad spent three hours in a hot car just telling me how he didn't believe in cutting ties and that I was just overreacting when I said I didn't want to see grandma again. My whole life I was groomed by my grandma so I could take care of her when she retired and be an extension of herself. She always said how amazing I was and that I was so much better than my cousins; this put an immense burden on me to be perfect. She would provoke me and make me throw a tantrum so she could make me the scapegoat for her behavior. I was locked in the bathroom for hours at a time while I literally went crazy because of her manipulation. I couldn't control myself or my emotions when I was around her, and that's why she dragged me down the large staircase and poured water on me while my brother and her boyfriend just watched. I was trapped at her house and was legitimately fearing for my life. All because I didn't want to play a board game with her and pretend we were a perfect family. Since then my parents wouldn't listen to me and I felt like I was suffocating. My words were always trampled on by my parents' ignorance and uncaring demeanor. I had just gotten out of a toxic friendship and depression and I was slowly succumbing to the darkness once again. But I'm getting closer to escaping. I can escape. I still have nightmares and I fear that she will kill me some day, but I'm trying to gain more wisdom from my experiences and letting my memories of her go. If you've dealt with abuse, mental and physical, your emotions are always valid and you're important. What happened doesn't matter; how you feel does. If you feel hatred, fear, sadness, etc, you don't need the abuse to justify those feelings. If people don't listen to how you feel because they don't know what you've been through, don't give up and try to find that someone you can click with. You feel emotions for a reason, it's a sign your body is giving you, a gut instinct. It's saved me many times and I know for sure I would be dead without it. Your emotions are friends you can get to know and work alongside with. They aren't there to ruin your life. Take days just for yourself and think about what you're feeling; you don't have to label those feelings and try to get rid of them. Just accept them and look at your living situation. What can you do to make your life beautiful in your eyes? There's always something to improve. I hope this helps. I know a lot of you have been dealing with a lot and I believe you can get through it. Never stop listening to your instinct, emotions are your friends and teachers at the same time. Have a nice life

I'm sorry you had to go through all of this. Although I wasn't abused physically, I was always bullied, and my bullies were all children of my family's friends, so I never told anyone. I didn't want other people to have my experience of always being turned on for trying to do the right thing. It's not like they would never believe me anyways, so I made a new friend, who became a really good friend. I trusted those gut instincts I had that told me I could trust them, and I could. Some people have scars, others have scars you can't see. Thank you for this message, it made my day.

I'm late but I just want to vent some of my feelings too. My feeling I don't know what to do with them. It's like they control me and I can't control it. When I get mad all I want to do is die because I'm tired of the lies, half truths, and most of all expectations. I'm suppose to be strong because i'm a boy. If i can't do what a "Man" can do i'm gay. I'm straight and always plan to be that way (No offense to homosexuals, I like y'all cs you guys are fun) I'm being cut by words and it hurts. My mother and father hear what he is saying and act like nothing is happening. I love my family and respect them however not that bastard. When I go to his house I'm suffocated. I can't do anything because I'm scared. I'll leave it at that.

@@unknown.cj. It sounds like you're in a very toxic situation. And a very SEXIST situation. Do you think you could try getting a therapist? I understand that it's hard to do sometimes because of finances or your family situation, but I think it would be one of the best solutions. You could also sit your parents down and tell them exactly how you feel about that person, what they're doing, how it's toxic, and how you NEED to get out of that situation for your own mental health. If they don't listen to you, that's the equivalent to saying my child's feelings aren't first priority. I feel if you tell them straight up and lay it all down for them, they'll take the right actions. But I can't say for sure because I don't know your parents.

I imagine a girl about 13 who remember when she was about 7 years old and would run and laugh with her family, she remembers going places and talking to them, all she did was laugh and smile and she thought that everything was perfect, until later after she gets a little older she starts to stop smiling and laughing, her parents ended up divorcing, and she realized the whole time it wasn't love, she now turns 15 and is already wanting to move out, she thinks back to when her parents were happy and loving but now its a faded memory

I love this song it’s insane how much I relate and wish to relate. I was diagnosed with severe depression and I have issues with my memory but this song reminds me of the good times of childhood where I was so innocent. Memories in my head or was recorded by photos for a time like this where I don’t remember much. But still this song means a lot.

(Spoilers) If you ever feel like your life sucks just remember that Violet Evergarden was used, given away like some present on Christmas Day, just to suffer without knowing her parents, and on top of it all she was in a 4 year long war as a child then loses the one she loves Major Gilbert Bougainvillea.... She suffered and even lost her own arms that were replaced with robotic ones... Also she didn't know what love was until later on... So if you read this then I want you to know that everything will be ok... Violet Evergarden had a rough start but Violet Evergarden eventually had a better life... She was surrounded by so many people that cared.... She was happy being a doll... She has been through so much and still found some happiness.... Some good in the world...

Violet Evergarden is one of my favorite anime.😍🤗 They way she struggled to find out what does ( loving someone) mean is fabulous and wonderful.😉☺😍🤩🥰 Well i am still trying to understand what does love means. I just know when you truly love someone you never ger board of them , and there is no one that can fiil your heart other than person. Their happiness is more important than yours.😍😇🤗
