Some people just like how it sounds, an alternative way of listening to the song that gives a different feeling, not trying to take away from the original. Love your channel! I put a link to the original in the description. To be honest I just created this video on a whim and put very little effort into it, thought it would be funny and maybe some people would like it.

Fair enough,@@womp6338 . Like we always used to say, there's no such thing as negative publicity. For us, the lyrics tell an emotional story of loyalty and patriotism and offer some understanding of the why and the what the typical 'southern soldier' was fighting for. It sure as hell wasn't the preservation of slavery. Hard to see how the 'whimsically' sped-up vocals might help a listener 'hear' what the lyrics are trying to say. But what do I know ? Anyway, thanks for the link and the kind word there...
