You say that was a disaster but you know - the tannin from leaves actually do leach into patchy slushy snow making a dirty mess IRL so the end result seems pretty alright to me. So I would say it's a Bob Ross style happy little accident.

I dunno... I spend a lot of time in the forest even when it snows and I haven't ever noticed something like that. Maybe it happens in very small amounts, not like what happened here. Next time I'll give the Gravel fixer several hours to fully dry so it won't happen again :)

While watching you forget how tiny the whole piece is because of the great amount of detail. It's fantastic. I haven't the skill to make something as amazing as this, so it's almost painful to watch. As I'd give almost anything to have a piece of Art like this to display in my home. I particularly love the Stug. III AUSF. B, it was an amazing weapon that was greatly underestimated during the war, and caused severe damage to the Allied forces. Anyhow, it's a great diorama. I'm envious.

"Don't eat yellow snow!" I wouldn't see the discolouration as a problem. Wet fallen leaves have the same effect on snow in nature, so that was rather a "happy accident" (RIP Bob Ross). In the end it's a nice diorama with the cutest StuG I ever saw.

I'm not sure if you have or not, but the static grass applicator can be used in a much more accurate way if you add a straightened paper clip on the ground clip, therefore allowing you to concentrate the "ground" of the static applicator in a more pin-pointed method. Just a thought. And yes, I realize this video is over two years old. But I digress.

don't know what exactly your trees would be, but there are deciduous trees, and deciduous conifers, that have this "pyramid" shape in nature. might also be like a horizontal spreading layout, where the bottom branches are longer than higher branches. excuse to use "trimmed or broken branches", so your trees are just fine. happy new year! Swamp Cyprus looks like a good candidate... if its needles look clumpy since it lost some, i guess.

I just saw a good looking pine tree material. If you want to build your own, try to find some asparagus fronds. The delicate looking tops of the asparagus plant. They have a structure very much like the branches on pine trees. Altho it may be suitable as camo for some scales and not others. Fortunately, trees are not scale-specific. lol
