I would never want Tuomas angry with me. This song burns me and it wasn't even directed at me.

"Hey Judas, your Christess was OUR love" that one always hits me a bit... they were angry, yeah, but also there was pain of losing a friend who was their friend first. And this song is just one perspective on what happened and why it happened. Idk what kind of person Marcelo is but they're still married, 20 years this year, they have a sweet daughter and seem happy. So as much as the split sucked, everyone's in a good place now.

This was basically Tuomas and the rest of the NW guys 'F U' to Tarja's husband, Marcelo. It's part of the trilogy of songs on this album that deal with the fall-out from Tarja's dismissal (the others being Poet And The Pendulum and Bye Bye Beautiful). And yeah, it's heavy as f***! It's one of my favourites from a fantastic album. It's never been performed live and never will.

This is the only version of this song will never be done live . It was wrote by Tuomas & Marco its there angry song about Tarja's husband and how he changed her to the point of the band having to fire her.

The song blames Marcelo Cabuli, Tarja's husband and manager for the events leading up to Tarja Turunen's dramatic expulsion from the band in late 2005.

If one song shows Tuomas' genius it is this song. Jukka trying to kill his drum set, Marco spitting lyrics Emppu putting out dark angry riffs and even the keyboard sounds angry. It's pure rage made into one helluva masterpiece of music. Definitely one of my favorites🤘🏽

If ever there was a song by Tuomas showing his dislike of Tarja's husband, this is it. Then you have Bye Bye Beautiful directed at Tarja plus The Poet and the Pendulum showing how Tuomas was feeling after the backlash from the "fans". All on the Dark Passion Play album.

Marko and Tuomas being really, really pissed off.

There is a rumour that some of the lyrics are direct quotes from Marcelo to the band, these words are being responded to in this song, they are angry, painful, frustrated and sung in a place of hurt. So much anger that Nightwish wrote death metal. The band is not in this place and have not been in a long time. I don't think they are really proud of this song, or more accurately, I think they are a little ashamed that they had so much pent up angst. This song was cathartic, and once released those feeling and thoughts were released, and dissipated.

This is the Darkest and angriest song from Tuomas .... Never played live ... NEVER. Because the angry nature of that song , it will never see live concert . Tuomas said that he is not that person anymore and that's why this song remains only in album version... Nuff Said !!! NWSU 🤘😎🤘.

Was wondering when you guys would get around to this one. Probably the heaviest song they have. Dark Passion Play was 2007 and was the first album without Tarja. This is an angry response pointed directly at Tarja’s husband Marcelo - one of three songs about the split with Tarja. It is the only Nightwish song with an expletive in the lyrics. It has never once been performed live. I believe it was a cathartic composition by Tuomas and Marko that the band felt they needed to express. I have to disagree with you on one point… there is still a LOT of Nightwish you have not heard. In fact, just this week I started putting something together for you guys. I should have time to finish it tomorrow and send it via email.

How mad was Tuomas? This is the only Nightwish song (excluding demos) that includes profanity. Even the way Marko sings it sounds angry. Musically ,I love this song, one of the heaviest. But, lyrically, we understand why it never got played live, and never will be. Dark Passion Play was released in 2007. More from DPP? The songs from there that you have not done yet are, Eva, Cadence of Her Last Breath, Whoever Brings the Night, and For the Heart I Once had.

Nightwish has alot of songs that don't get live versions. For The Heart I Once Had is a great song that let's Annette shine. Master Passion Greed is what you get when Tuomas is passed off.

From Dark Passion Play in 2007. One of the heaviest and I think the only one I recall using the F word. Angry Tuomas. And Marco. Love that dissonant brass at the end! Lyrics in my workbook of course. Another heavy one is Dead Gardens from the 2004 album Once, with Tarja.

This is my favourite running song, - when I’m looking to go faster I keep this on repeat! This is a real slam against Tarjas husband who the band thought considerably changed Tarja from a humble band mate to a money grabbing monster who no longer mixed with the band outside of concerts and rehearsals

They left Anette out from this mocking song. Boys really feel that Marcelo was the main reason to change Tarja and finally diverge the ways since elementary school up to 2005 after End of an Era (next day after the concert ended).

Oh, this wonderful piece of art with such beautiful, poetic lyrics, so ambiguous and open to interpretation. Tuomas and Marco expressing their eternal love and admiration for a certain person. You felt it, you sure did. F*k yeah. Love this song.

Yea, I got the same question back then (first time I heard this) - Is this Nightwish? It's clearly NW's very own recognizable sound - Really HEAVY, it has an angry tone which it should have. This is addressed to Marcelo, Tarja's then manager who is her husband... This track is so good, but never will be performed live👋

You need to react to some of Tarja's solo stuff because she answers some of these songs. "Enough", "Until my last Breath" and "Diva". As always there are two sides to every story and somewhere in the middle lies the truth.
