Everything from this concert is fantastic. I've seen dozens of concert videos and this has to be in the conversation for best ever. Re. Floor, you are not going out on much of a limb. In my opinion, as a fan of both rock and opera, Floor is the greatest all around vocalist of the recorded era. Male or female. There are a few who are better in their narrow specialty, but I've never heard of anyone else who can do so many styles of singing and do them all so well. And as for female vocalists, she makes most of our big pop stars sound like chipmunks. Particularly when you consider that she does this live without software cheats.

Hi, thank you sir. Those comments could be mine too. Btw, Kai was a mentor for Jukka back in the days and they are very good friends. Tuomas is the composer and all those members follows his notes, so Emppu seldom shows up, or never, Emppu´s back ground in music comes from the highest level in Finland; Sibelius Academy. It´s a pity that Marco decided to leave the band, but 20yrs. is much within the same band. Floor, no doubt, is on the level of her own as a singer, performer. Greets from Finland. Take care.

When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m (6ft.+) tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen(Yansen). Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill, Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour. 'Please learn the setlist in 48 hours Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. She even made a video reacting to herself singing Ghost Love Score at Wacken. Lots of technical info and some memories of her starting with Nightwish Also her Fan Friday videos are hilarious. Just unpack some of these and other presents she left on her channel. Also videos of her solo tour she did with songs of her impressive career. Her latest endeavour is her stunning solo album 'My Paragon. Floor is a high sensitive person, so peace and quiet is as important for her. Living by the woods in Sweden with her husband Hannes Van Dahl (drummer of the band Sabaton) daughters Freja (turned 7 years this march) and Lucy (born last october) ,a couple of horses, dogs and cats.

It is a banger. I love how the sound of the bass guitar evolves at the beginning of the song, lures me into the song. Of course, on the albums released after 2013 Tuomas made sure the compositions were tailored to Floor and Kai. The band evolved.

I think this, above all else, this was the performance that made me fall in love with Nightwish (and Floor - no point denying it) in the first place. GLS didn't quite land with me at first, but Storytime blew my mind. Yes, Floor is the G.O.A.T. Jukka is bad-ass and Kai is a human metronome & Marco is surely missed! IMHO, Nightwish is the Greatest Band ever!

I agree. Marco's solo stuff is lacking something. I have tried to listen to some of it but it doesn't register with me. Kai is more dynamic than Jukka drumming ( and that's not meant to reference anything negative about Jukka at all...guy is top tier). And yes need more guitar solos in Nightwish music.

For me, I can not choose between Kai and Jukka, but for the rest i completely agree with you on Marco being a force (miss him so much) and Emmpu needing more solo's and i am not even a guitar player.

I am out on that limb with you! Emppu would probably prefer to play more solos. Tuomas writes most of the music and does not focus on solos for either keys or guitar. There were more guitar solos in the older songs which tended to be more power metal oriented. Also when Emppu takes solos they usually mirror the chorus or hook lines in the song. Playing for the audience, not the musicians and guitarists in the crowd. However, I do hear you. I love this band for their beautiful melodies and the vocal performances. Those are what makes them unique in the metal genre. Guitar shredding abounds in many bands.

Its fair to say that Kai was Jukka teacher..... Also emppu plays for the band not to shine....

Once again, the sound on the video playback is off. The sound seems likes there's a very slight echo and gives a muffled sound.

It think I agree that Kai may be technically the better drummer by a fine margin, but I do miss the energy and the showmanship that Jukka brought to the drums. He played with his whole being it seemed, where Kai seems to be more technical, more economical with his movement.
