Yes the connection to Scriabin's late music is there to be heard. A colorful combination of voicings from mystic modes.

It's so strange to listen to something like this and realize it was written in 1915... imagine what more the Russian avant-garde could've done if it weren't for the oppressive Soviet regime.

I should mention that the notes you see have been transcribed from a apparently very bad to read manuscript, and I initially played from another version. The notes here are not the very final truth.

1) I played it very slowly because of that. I thought about it a lot, about the titles and the right interpretations. 2) That this music is from 1915 is kind of crazy to me. So forwardlooking

@@PianoScoreVids I really appreciate your work and I feel your that work is not enough recognized. I like how you take the time to analyze the pieces you are going to play, in order to create an incredible performance. And I think that this piece maybe very modern in its own way but, if we consider that Scriabin composed the first sketches of the "Mysterium" the same year, it is more or less contemporary.

Thanks, excellent and thoughtful performances. The original manuscript of his unfinished magnum Optus is in the bibliotheque nationale in Paris, complete with his blood stains, silk ribbons, etc., and it has never been published. Last time I checked there aren't even any facsimiles online. It's a huge opportunity for a performer or publisher!
