Nikon D800 Landscape Waterfall Photography at Polecat Falls, Graysville TN

I use my Nikon D800 and their 24-70 and 14-24 f/2.8 lenses to do some landscape photography near the Cumberland Trail in Tennessee. The D800 came out in 2012 and I bought mine in 2014. I show here that the D800 is still a competent camera for landscape photography.

Glad to see that someone else likes getting out with their old camera We spend too much money on equipment at why we think we have to have the latest and the best all the time is a paradox if the old camera takes good pictures we need to use them and all the tricks that we can out of them!

Coming from a very flat country i always appreciate waterfall photo's although i must say the last photo from the creek with the moss is my favourite. Spring over here, can't wait to go out myself. Cheers!

I shoot mostly birds and wildlife, but you've inspired me to do more landscapes. Thanks for sharing your lovely images. Interesting use of the 16x9 aspect ratio, which gives a nice broad perspective. But don't I recall you losing a camera in the water, ouch?
