My very first film camera is this one and it was my dad’s so I didn’t pay anything for it. I love it so much bc it’s quite beginner friendly. Thanks for the lovely review. Have a nice day

Phúc Hồ yeah it’s a cool simple camera to use with so many lens options

Still have and use the F100, F3hp and Fm2n. Even though I’m 99% digital now, I still try and shoot a couple of rolls of film a month.

So nice to hear an Aussie accent. I have a 28-70mm old film lens and on the hunt for a newer version of my F70. This looks perfect. You got a great deal. I've not seen anything close to that on offer. Nice job with your channel - keep going.

Good first impressions video. I agree with your analysis of who the camera would be good for. That's why I recently purchased mine. I love shooting film and wanted to use the full capabilities of my modern F-mount G series lenses.

Love this camera, always used my D7200 for everything and bought this F100 to get into film photography but man... the F100 is much more fun to use than the D7200 😝 i litterly fell in love with my F100

Nice shots! I use the F5 which supposedly is a similar camera in function. Love the Nikon system for the same reasons as you.
@lewiswilliamson24444 жыл бұрын
oh nice, it seems like the f5 is a great camera

I've owned and used most of the Nikon bodies made since the mid-1970s. Much can be said for the FE2 and F3 I have still, but my favorite and most generally useful camera is the F100. So much so that I have bought and stored a mint condition second F100 against the potential of my primary body failing. I hope he tries out the 50mm 2.0 AIS Nikkor. IMO opinion, it was replaced by the 50mm 1.8 only because every other maker was offering a 1.8 version of their basic lens. The 2.0 is every bit as good optically as the following 1.8, and they sell for practically nothing.

Sure, AF is nice. But even better, especially for us film shooters, is a lens with VR!!
@lewiswilliamson24444 жыл бұрын
yes! I always forget how handy vr would be for film
@seanc57184 жыл бұрын
It's awesome. I have a 70-200 f4 VR I use all the time on my F100 and it lets me get a lot of shots handheld I normally would have trouble keeping sharp.

I just picked up an F100 today with 50mm 1.4D and a 20mm 2.8D along with a flash for $200 US. I can't wait to run a roll on it. I really like your shots, did you shoot the Portra 400 at box speed and did you do much post editing on them?

Hi, your videos are amazing. It would be great if you make video about your film procesing, scaning and editing.
@lewiswilliamson24444 жыл бұрын
thanks so much, at the moment I get all my film developed at a lab. but hopefully will be doing my own processing soon

Hey there Lewis. What would be a good price for one of these cameras that the seller is saying he bought it brand new and never used it. It does come with lenses but they are sigma? Thanks.

@@lewiswilliamson2444 - Lewis, I like your images but noticed all the skies were blown out. Would you suggest over exposing in camera and then correcting exposure in post-processing with the scanned file?
@user-xy3fo7rk8u6 ай бұрын
Under exposing in camera, is easier to bring the highlights back.@GirdHerd

I used to have the f100 the images were incredible but using the camera felt too much like a digital camera for me i prefer the tactile feel of more mechanical film cameras
@lewiswilliamson24444 жыл бұрын
yeah I get that, sometimes a full manual small mechanical camera is what you need
