നമ്മുടെ ഊട്ടിയിലെ ട്രെയ്‌നിനെ പറ്റി നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്തൊക്കെ അറിയാം. ഒരു സാധാരണ ട്രെയിൻ റൂട്ടും ട്രെയിനും അല്ലെന്ന് അറിയാല്ലോ. ഏഷ്യയിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും കുത്തനെ മല കയറുന്ന railway track ഉള്ളത് ഇവിടെയാണ്. അത്കൊണ്ട്തന്നെ മല കയറാൻ വേണ്ടിയുള്ള സ്പെഷ്യൽ സംഗതിയായ Rack and Pinion system ഉള്ള ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരേയൊരു ലൈനും train എൻജിനും. ഇപ്പോഴും steam engine ഓടുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിലെ രണ്ട് സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്ന്, സൗത്ത് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരേ ഒരു സ്ഥലം. ഊട്ടിയിൽ നിന്നും മേടുപ്പാളയം യാത്ര മടുപ്പാണ് കാരണം എഞ്ചിൻ മുൻപിലാണ് പുക പുറകിലേക്ക് വരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് പോകുമ്പോൾ മേടുപ്പാളയം to ഊട്ടി ട്രെയിന് കയറ്റം കേറി പോകണം, പിന്നെ മേടുപ്പാളയത് നിന്നും കയറുമ്പോൾ ഇടതു വശത്തു ഇരുന്നു യാത്ര ചെയ്താൽ കൂടുതൽ കാഴ്ചകൾ ഉണ്ട്
