Peter Christopherson lives on through nine inch nails, once friends , now the musical inspiration from Throbbing Gristle and COIL are leaking into the new music. Subtly and beautifully. It also reminds me of DAVID LYNCH OMG I LOVE IT !!

"Turn This Off Please" sounds so much like Throbbing Gristle and Nurse With Wound.

Albert Rosenflower Yes! I knew there was somewhere that I had heard something like this, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Another one of my favorite artists
@approaching_4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Would not be surprised if Trent was influenced by Suspiria - Belongings Thrown in a River as he's a fan of Radiohead and I think the Suspiria score is right up his alley when it comes to the haunting piano melodies and textures

Oh wow, I am so glad I read this now. I have not listened to TY’s suspiria for a few years.

Definitely music to file taxes to. H&R Block should use this piece in their next commercial with the words “it’s that time again. Better get on it” in huge letters across the screen.

Chilling and suspenseful. For some reason I am reminded of David Bowie and that album Outside but I cant draw a distinct connection either. I have this condition where I hear David Bowie’s influence in everything so, it’s probably just grief. This kind of sounds like the soundtrack to some of my most vivid dreams. Anyway you have a good night.

Metroid - yes! Hriokazu "Hip" Tanaka, also known as Chip Tanaka, is a Japanese musician, composer, sound designer, and executive who pioneered chiptune music. He is best known as one of Nintendo's in-house composers during the 8- and 16-bit era of video games.

This is the sound of being told there’s no ventilator for you. This is the sound of laying in bed wondering how you’re going to make the food you have left last for your family and you hear someone break into your house. This is the sound of a scientist working on a vaccine for 13 months and watching the virus mutate at the last moment into something even more sinister.

these people (comments) have no imagination; lemmings,. an Arab riding a camel through the desert, at night,. scary movies,. the typical, come on, the covid-19,. think of something more original than that. Certainly a triumph of experimental pedigree, if there were allowable freedoms among the top of music recognized artists; playing to the design of mankind, silence and turbulence. I wonder why you (Trent) chose not to change the piano melody around the six minute point in the song during that small area where the sound gets steadily quieter before rising up once more. It's clear you're going for a locked in music building concept here which lacks the freedom to change the notes and ideas on the fly despite being experimental in root one lacking aspect of experimental music is obviously in order for each song to be their own they must conform to a certain allowable movement otherwise the entire piece would become something else entirely. So why then, not allow for the music to change if so much of what's being the song is made as less music and more noise ambience environment and everything else.
