This song makes me feel so many things... I remember when this was released, in the beginning of the pandemic, when everyone was stuck at home. I was drinking a lot during this time as I was shut in the house, and this release was on repeat. Hearing this song now, almost a year later, brings back those haunting nights and never-ending days that the beginning of the pandemic brought on all of us. Beautiful piano melody juxtaposed with the anxiety-ridden soundscapes-- classic Reznor/Ross.

beautifully said. The powerful thing about Adam Curtis, is that his images are so well mixed with music, bearing all the depth that politics and history holds on its selves.

Well the last 4 Ghosts took the band a month or so of just improvising in the studio, I think. Considering Trent's mastery over the years, I guess it doesn't take long. In about 10 years or so a bunch of hits from many genres will probably take a lot of influences again from these pieces.
@bigguy1164
@bigguy1164 4 жыл бұрын
The Fragile took longer because Reznor was an addict constantly in flux with what he wanted to do, then getting writers block for long periods without any sort of partner to bounce ideas off of. He had collaborators, but Collaborators don't get a say. No one had the power to tell him when he was getting off track or meandering. This is where Atticus Ross, who has been with him for nearly 20 years now comes in. He was always in the shadows, acting as a compass for years until he made his prescene known in 2010, then HTDA, then finally the second official member Nine Inch Nails. It was he who dragged a kicking and screaming Reznor into the 21st century, keeping him from being a dated act like 99 percent of his contemporaries. A thankless task too, considering the amount of shit he gets from many NIN fans.

To everyone correcting me, Trent spent two years WRITING the Fragile. It obviously took longer than that to mix and release but he was touring right up until '97 so it wasn't the full five years.

For some reason this reminds me of certain themes used during the first two seasons of House of Cards, anyone? Either way, Nine Inch Nails is life, and I will never forget when Trent dropped V & VI on us a week into the lockdowns starting all over the world. It was late March 2020 and I just got back to London from New York a couple weeks ago, and life as we knew it suddenly stopped. Walking through the deserted streets of the West End while listening to this will remain forever etched in my brain.

Its definitely not a saxophone in this piece of music. I used to play alto sax but this also does not sound like other saxophone types such as the tenor sax (for instance) because it is clearly a trumpet.. Reminds me a little of the lonely trumpet in Jeanie Bryson's 'Young At Heart'

Frequency and amplitude modulation via independent melodies, with implied potentially relevant results/summary of waveforms in trumpet melody This is counterpoint/polyphony on a wave function level, as J. S. Bach represents the epitome of counterpoint/polyphony on a melodic level Sublime and developing over time You’re showing your emerging craft and experience, and can’t wait for others to recognise sublime structures involved and share them subtlety also

@@violetbaudelaire7353 it means Mr Reznor is illuminate. He's high level too as he has been incorporated into the main stream (Disney) the words he uses and the content and context is very dark. He sings about law (legislation) and the sea (maritime law) in many, many songs. He's very clever. I respect that. He also uses subtle hand gestures on live appearances which is spell casting. 666 hand signals and a halo gesture on one video. I started watching closely when I realised the words he speaks have relevance in law. Which I study. The words used have a frequency which is harmful to us. He knows this. The frequency the instruments are tuned to, 440hz is also damaging. 432hz is a healing frequency. He knows this too. Have a quick look on here for 440 vs 432. There's a bowl of water experiment that shows the frequency affecting the water physically. Fascinating stuff. I'm glad someone noticed and asked to be Frank. 👍 LFE is a traumatisung frequency 'the great destroyer' features this in many areas during the 'boom/blast /noisy' instrumental section of the song. There is such a thing as black noise. David Bowie, another illuminate refers to this in a video interview which is also on KZfaq. He states you can kill people with it. He is correct. There is also evidence of 'graphene oxide' being manipulated with certain frequencys. It is present in certain vaccines. C19 to be precise. The Travis rapper show a few months back had several audience members collapse. The symbology of that event is clear. 'See you on the other side' and the mouth wide open and people walking into the mouth.. This represents baal. A demonic entity they worship. They are spell casters. Strange but very true.
