Wow I found this. I remember seeing this as a kid some time in the early 90s, sneaking a look at MTV when we stayed at a hotel. It creeped the fuck out of me, I only saw it once, but I've remembered it ever since. I just happened to be reading the NIN Wiki page and saw Pinion described. Holy shit, that's the video - only thing missing is I remember an MTV logo fading in at the end. That was nearly 30 years ago.

i've seen gifs of this video online for a while of just the last 10 or so seconds with the reveal of the suit. and assumed it was just Regular Clean water. that didn't disturb me. the suit itself definitely doesn't disturb me. wanted to watch the whole video to get the context and i gotta say toilet water right into the mouth does indeed freak me the fuck out. really effective. good song too

my s/o showed this video to me about a month or so ago and it disturbed me to say the least. coming back to this, now i realize it disturbed me because it put into a visual how existing in modern society feels. it’s fucking overwhelming and all day every day we are forced to take in shit after shit after piss of all the bullshit spewed in the media for viewer consumption. you get what i’m trying to say. never been a fan of nine inch nails, but this video crosses my mind often. definitely am becoming a fan.
