Arrow is the same speed, but it takes longer to get the distance which will allow reaction time to catch the arrow.
@Desgaroth
@Desgaroth 8 ай бұрын
yes. and their machine they build for the last time was made to keep that reaction time in mind. Remember back then it was not the speed of the arrow and the reaction time that was the problem. it was the time it took the hand to close.

man, these few past episodes have been really poorly edited with the audio... You can only hear the narrator in your left ear.. :v

31:36 Ironically, that’s how battlefield archers shoot. They don’t hold their arrows. They draw, aim a bit, then release. All within 2-3seconds. Warbows are a lot more powerful though and have heavier arrows.

For the blow dart myth to be plausible the ninja can't be visible, which is why the test shouldn't have been done in bright sunlight and a crystal clear pool.

That 3 inch punch really is just shoving, right? Am I wrong?

I believe they're measuring the spike in the force which would be the highest when your fist touches the body.

13:27 Loosing %50 of body heat through the head? Wasn't that a "Busted" myth?
@thomasjoychild4962
@thomasjoychild4962 3 ай бұрын
Well, the losing-lots-of-heat-from-your-head thing IS true in the sense that mostly people don't have their head covered as completely and thickly by clothing as the rest of their bodies, because we don't like having our faces and ears covered up. So yes, if you're wearing warm clothes but your head's uncovered then it'll be where you lose a lot of heat. Your scalp is also pretty densely packed with blood vessels and so transfers heat easily.

If the punch is correctly placed it can cause some serious problems. I believe it's called commotio cordis, the external trauma may provoke a ventricular fibrillation causing a cardiac arrest with will lead to death if urgent medical care is not provided. Not every punch will have cause this but it is still a possibility. All sorts of punches tas well as any trauma to the chest have a chance to cause this condition.

Why would ninja be shot from all sides? If anything, they would be shot from the castle wall where archers are stationed, so from one direction, and any guards on the premises would not carry a bow but yari spears or katana/wakizashi.

39:03 I'm sorry but this "ninja" isn't very good and his one inch punch was a one inch push and would make Bruce roll in his grave. if you watch the few videos of Bruce Lee doing his punch you will see his stance is different and he uses power from his legs and sudden twist of the waist. Bruce explains how he keeps his arm and fist relaxed until right before impact where he clenches his fist/forearm. (This is why he focused a lot on building his forearm strength.) He also stressed how important it was to immediately return your hand/leg back to it's on guard position as fast and you threw it. Bruce was all about staying relaxed and using only the minimum of muscles to perform the act to be fast and powerful. the one inch punch was for demonstration purposes to show Bruce's motion of economy. The further he punches from the more powerful it will be. so think of how he could throw someone off their feet from the distance you see in the videos imagine if we saw Bruce giving it his all from a rear punch. you can learn all of this from his writings in Bruce Lee's complete fighting method and The Tao of Jeet Kune Do. also if you look up The Shogunate you will learn how Ninja kind of were never a real thing.

Indeed, ninjas are a real mystery on our case. And to be honest, it's TV shows that blew it out of proportion, it's good money after all. Real ninjas here in Japan doesn't dress black as the night or use rasengan. Those ninja tools are usually farm tools, and the majority of ninjas are actually farmers. Because, despite the low ranking class, the majority of them does and can be granted access to enter secured places because they're the ones responsible for handling and delivering foods.
