Tip for people complaining about the sweetness: This is a good situation for hot sauce (on top, not mixed in). The vinegar and spice in the sauce will help counteract the sweetness. Don't try adding salty flavors because salt will just make the sweetness more apparent. Also, if you're serving to somebody else, don't even mention the sugar. If you tell somebody there's something in a dish they aren't used to, that's all that they are going to be thinking about.

I’m complaining about literally every part of this omelette. The process is unintuitive. Its extra. Uses extra ingredients, requires the use of very specific and niche kitchen tools, and then in the end, IF you were lucky and lived in an altitude where this is even possible, it tastes 1/10. Awful lmao

I’m trying this again this morning I used an electric mixer this time for the egg whites and it actually became fluffy 🥺 Update: the mixture separated again but I have poured out some of the egg juice before putting it on the pan Update 2: I flipped the egg and it broke🤣 Update 3: it tastes amazing❤️❤️❤️❤️

My husband and I went to a random cafe in a random shopping center in Osaka and waited in line thinking we were just having regular omurice. To our surprise, they specialized in souffle omurice and it was one of the best things we ate on our trip. And here I am watching this video now that we’re home. That technique is messy. There many better ways to do it: 1. Break the egg in your palm and let the white drip out between your fingers. 2. Break the egg in a funnel and the egg white will come out and the yoke will stay in the funnel 3. Break all the eggs in a bowl, then get a empty water bottle and squeeze it a bit, then suck the egg yokes into the bottle like vacuum cleaner.

I can't make the egg whites super fluffy :( it comes foamy, but not like a super fluffy texture. when I mixed it w the yolks, the top was fluffy but the bottom was watery 😭 it turned out ok as a meal but not fluffy :((((((
