I remember watching this over nine years ago, and being in awe of how cool the bowser's castle track looked before I knew it was neo bowser city. It's still my favorite Mario Kart track to this day. I can't believe that was so long ago... Where did the time go?

R.I.P. the 3Ds, you will be sorely missed. Although for some reason Nintendo will refuse to acknowledge that you exist past March 2023, one thing they can’t delete is the sweet memories we had together. I’ll miss you little guy.

because Waluigi was made for a tennis game because Wario needed a doubles partner, whereas Daisy was made for her own unique game. when i typed this I didn't realize the comment was 3 years old but oh well

@MiiItalian The leaf was actually an item back in Super Mario Kart on the SNES. It allows you to jump high to get through certain obstacles and short cuts. I'm guessing that the leaf will do just the same in this game (though I could be wrong)

@redfoz200 tanooki suit is basically whipping your tail. blue shell is like the ds one but just a more powerful regular shell. Fire Flower has been shown. 7 is lucky number 7 which means you get a green and red shell, tanooki leaf, star, thunder, and fire flower and another one. that you can use. it circles around the player

@TranceCore3 You proably also know that mario wasn't originally called mario. He was known as jump man. He also appeared in the game donkey kong jr. where he is the villian, this beeing the only game he's a antaganist. The same is with yoshi. He was part of his own series until they decided to put him with mario.

i cant wait. this is the first mario kart im looking forward to. New items and maps with "Retro" and new characters with no other ones removed, has 98% of what the wii graphics look like, and with miis still being playable characters ill be able to play as Link or Chowder, has globle wi-fi,has great music, and best of all its portable!

@123tomhiggs Unknown at the moment. They don't seem to be for boosting your speed. I think it'll either be for unlocking kart parts (and characters?), or it'll be used to determine your rank for the Grand Prix.

@AuraChannelerChris Lakitu still starts races, and picks you up when you fall. The Lakitu you play as has a red shell, as opposed to the green shell of the referee Lakitu.

I bet you didn't know that Mario was originally a Donkey Kong character, rather than first being a character from his own series. Back then he wore red overalls, and a blue shirt.
