Nintendo doesnt need AI, most of their games are low poly, simple texture, low fidelity. They barely work with advanced simulations and they do not need play testing help right now.

@@0miy0 Nintendo’s art style is some of the best if not the best I do not care for hyper realistic graphics I’m over all of that, gameplay comes first for me and Nintendo’s graphics style is impressive and the Switch reminds me of Xbox 360 games even those the Switch is more powerful than the Xbox 360.

I would think most people who love COD, have purchased it every year and those games being added into GamePass won’t make much of a difference to them. When you already own the games, them all being added to a paid services doesn’t incentivize you to join it.

I think there is the fear factor. Something as huge as banjo could close a studio if they fail. It's a scary undertaking if they aren't confident in their teams ability.

The problem with Concord is that Sony likely wanted to cancel it when they were canceling all the live service games. When Naughty Dog canceled the live service for The Last of Us, this likely would have been on the chopping block. My guess is that they decided not to based on how close to release it was, and that is the only reason it didn't get canceled. Had Concord still been 2 or 3 years away, I guarantee Sony would have scrapped it. The studio behind it probably had to push the angle: "We can have it out this year." Whether it is polished or not is a different story.

@lutherheggs451 I don't know anything about Frag Punk (never even heard of it). I only have a PS5. Not really a fan of 5v5 games or basically any online game. Just pointing out what I see with Sony and the live service industry. I am not saying that there isn't a market for that kind of game, because Overwatch pretty much proves there is. At the same time, I am not surprised that people aren't really interested in another 5v5 game when there already exists a couple titles in that genre. Sony is just way too late to catch that trend, in my opinion.

It's the default play when you bend the knee to that cult of weirdos. I'm genuinely curious to see just how many *billions* the games industry has to lose by acquiescing to those losers before they quietly (and it WILL be quietly) drop all that nonsense and go back to doing what their customers want, instead of what less than 1% of people demand, mostly on (worthless) social media. Every industry it's touched, has basically set itself on fire and then blamed the customer (who said we don't want this) for it.

So long as the story is good and the characters are fun, then sure. Outlaws, from what I've seen, is neither. If this title is on PC (I've not cared enough to check), then I can see the lead being replaced with a Dash Rendar skin day-one...with _no change to the face!!!_

Microsoft should never tell anyone that a Banjo game is in development until it's ready. Similar to how Banjo Kazooie itself started off as something different and when the game started to come together they realized it didn't work with The characters they already had so they redesign the characters and setting to match what the game had become. They famously didn't do this for Nuts and Bolts likely because it had already been announced as a Banjo game. I've seen many people agree that if that had been a new IP it would have been much more successful. They should do that here, waiting for the game to be done enough to decide if it feels like a banjo kazooie game.

Nintendo's first party games this generation were second to none, its almost scarry to think what the next 3D Mario, open world Zelda and Metroid Prime 4 will look and play like on the Switch 2 and its PS4 Pro similar performance.

Rare’s OG KI1 was one of the those game I wish they use as a standard. Long lines at the arcade & Arcade employees resetting the machines because they can’t beat your scores 😂. To be honest if they don't want to make a new Banjo game then there shouldn't be a problem making at least a remastered version of the original 3. And could at least move Nut n Bolts to UE5. Same games fresh coat of paint at the very least. But it is what it is.

10:00 I would wager that comment is about how Microsoft made a deal about streaming ABK games with the UK (Giving the rights in that region to Ubisoft IIRC?). So maybe if all of that hasn't been figured out yet (I.E. region-locking specifically the streaming of some games) then they might just not make Crash available on XCloud at all for now

In reality, they wouldn’t be replacing the developers. The developers would be using them as tools to speed up the process at the end of the day it would still be the developers project. AI is not a weapon for a means of replacement, but instead a tool used to enhance. Even in the film and TV hand just business industry 99.9% of the time we see generative AI he wasn’t done by some corporate head it was done by the art department because most companies have em But you should have no concerns of seeing a AAA title completely made by. Ai anytime soon. Because that technology is so far away it’s not currently feasible. The most they can replace like 2% of their staff. That’s still not happening.

Then you are missing the point. I don’t think anyone that is serious about game development is genuinely thinking about using AI 100% to create a game. AI, when used correctly and not halfarsed to only be shoehorned into game development is a useful tool to have at your disposal. AI should only be used in game development to assist with coding and other related work within areas like pattern recognition, logic, and maybe to even help with choices and dialogue options when it comes to those massive open world games with a lot of choices and consequences. You are mistaking AI straight up doing all the work, hence eliminating all creative thinking and freedom with using AI as a side tool only when necessary.

Microsoft could always contract Toys for Bob to make a new Banjo game, they've proven themselves to be pretty good with platformers. Doubt that will happen though, MS doesn't seem to have any interest in Banjo. I wouldn't be surprised if they've completely forgotten they even own the IP.

Banjo is dead and they have no interest in reviving the IP. You'll have to stick with Yooka Laylee. The figurines look a bit lackluster. I might get Outlaws on sale. I'm more interested in AC Shadows. 14:43 I had to look up what Castlevania Requiem is. I don't need it since I already have it on PSP. Bland Blunderworld 85% off. Concord is doomed and is set to fail. It's not free to play, too expensive, has knock off characters (Isn't there a Marvel game similar to it? People are going to go to that instead.), it also requires PSN which already limits who can play it. Outlaws is the most interesting one on the poll but I have no intention of playing anything new on August at the moment.

Content dumps are terrible for everyone involved in subscription services. Subscribers can only interact with a limited amount of content at a time.

Concerns with AI range from the technical to the moral. I agree with Nintendo not wanting to cut corners uing this technology.

Star Wars Outlaws may not be the most exciting game and I'm skeptical of Ubisoft, but the one thing it does have going for it is zero competition in August.
