I have the game, I'm about 13 hours in. I think it's very good, my concerns were put aside once I got into the game. I would rate it higher than Dream Team, and PiT so far.

I still think this was born out of an idea of fusing Mario & Luigi with Paper Mario to get out of having go make a proper Paper Mario game after the bad reception of the last one.

The sooner you realise that this is the closest thing we will get to a RPG style Paper Mario game, the better

I understand why some people are upset, as this does seem to be another excuse for them not to make another _actual_ Paper Mario game (like Paper Mario and Paper Mario Thousand Year Door). But still, I like the looks of this.

The Mario and Luigi series is really good, but honestly I'd love to have a new traditional Paper Mario game.

i played this after years of not playing games to concentrate on just real life stuff, and oh man just gave me so many good memories and i absolutely loved it.

Don't get me wrong, my favourite Paper Mario game is TTYD, but people need to start realizing that not everyone grew up with the classics. Nintendo is only making the RPGs more like the main series because it's what they know fans will want. People ALSO need to realize that characters and story aren't everything in a game, and Paper Mario is no exception. This game looks really fun, regardless if it is linear or not.

Time flies dosent it i remember when before this game came out when i played partners in time and bowsers inside story on r64 card i wish partners in time got a remake. I want more of these games but it wont be the same without alphadream

This game looks amazing! I've only played Super Paper Mario and I'm almost done with Mario and Luigi: Dream team bros, but I still can't wait for these two fantastic game series to come together! We already know from this that the gameplay will be top notch (c'mon, it's Mario and Luigi! Even if the game stinks, you know the gameplay's gonna be good). I just hope it'll give us a good story. It doesn't need Super paper Mario levels of storytelling, but I need something to work for if I'm gonna have fun. As long as it doesn't just focus on Bowser kidnapping Peach, I'll be good.

Hey Nintendo, now you should make a sequel to this game having Mario & Luigi return the favor and cross over into a Paper Mario game on a home console so the concept would be the invert of this game's concept and parallel it. Paper Mario is almost always on home consoles and Mario & Luigi is always on handheld consoles, so the game I described that I said you should make would be the complete opposite in every aspect.

My neighbor's kid got arrested because of this game, the kid was a big fan of the Mario and luigi RPG series that when he saw the trailer for this game he ended up selling his parents belongings to make the money and buy the game on Day 1. His parents eventually found out a couple days later which led to a pretty violent fight and the dad getting hit by a bat on the head and the cops called.

Really HYPED, i'm playing Partners in Time right now, and i love it a lot, i love the saga in general and for the lots of things i have seen from this game, this might be a 1 day buy for me.

This game is fun, has pleasant music, removes the annoying tutorials that plagued Dream Team, is well-paced, and is well-designed, but the story leaves so much to be desired. I don’t think there’s a single reference to the first three Paper Mario games, which is disrespectful to fans of Paper Mario. What’s the point in making a crossover if what you are crossing over doesn’t get represented well?Even as a Mario and Luigi game, this game fails to impress. I don’t even think there is a single original character which is a series first. I will give the game developers credit though for not making the story overly “fan fic-y”… mostly because no fan of theses series would ever write fiction about Bowser kidnapping Peach and Mario rescuing her. Also, this might be controversial, but I didn’t think this game was very funny. Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario’s visual gags were cute and entertaining and the dialogue was sometimes entertaining, but most of the time, I couldn’t care about what the characters were saying even though I was listening to it all. All of this just combines to make an experience that is bland and reeking of missed potential. “Try Again!” I hope this concept isn’t wasted on this game and gets further explored in the future!!
