***** Look harder, buddy. Check the Amazon JP, you'd be surprised how many raging JP players that were panning this game. Check Famitsu (they are notoriously known for giving generous scores), you'd be shocked how poor they scored the game. Check more forums, JP game-related articles, make sure you are able to read and understand fluent Japanese, you'd be in for a wild ride.

Giganturdsaurus Rex I can see where you're coming from. However, the Famitsu score isn't exactly horrible by any means. I'm no stranger to Famitsu's scores. Be aware that they even made a survey for the game and the results showed positive reception overall. Also, Famitsu isn't the only Japanese video game publication to have released a review for the game. Another publication called Dengeki gave the game a positive review. I wouldn't be too reliant on Amazon Japan. An example for why would be that Devil's Third's treatment there is rather well despite at least half of its published reviews are abysmal and that its score on Famitsu is barely below Xenoblade X, whose score isn't that far behind the original's.

***** Don't get me wrong, I'm not dragging this game into the mud. I'm just giving out my own impression for the game and it just happened that my claims could be backed up by some people (reviews) who has the same views as mine. Just basically a heads up for some people who can't afford to be disappointed. I'm pretty sure it is still the game both Xeno and Nintendo fans wanted. It's just way far from the initial perception of the fanboys that this game is supposed to eat all the 2015 games alive, and kill all the other JRPGs, and set a benchmark for open-world RPGs, blah blah... That's pretty much the early impression of some fans about Devil's Third, even though the early previews already hinted a terrible product from the very start. Look what happened.
