You can get a stat called Tenacity that prevents death by poison/fire

Don't forget your "Critical" passives in the weapon trees, Spear has an attack boost and Axe has a defense boost which I do believe are affected by the +50% (Critical) effects special effect of the set, making for a whopping extra +18% damage and +75% Defense value, I think.

I personally like using Suzaku and playing like normal UNTIL I get "killed" and then I get a berserker mode. Usually only ends up popping in boss fights and its super fun.

Very interesting and eloquently explained. My biggest issue with Living Weapon--or more accurately, builds that rely on prolonging that state--is that it encourages mashing in a game with a wonderfully robust combo system. All those samurai points, all those moves...they just evaporate when Living Weapon comes into play. It should have been a short-burst, emergency mechanic like Ninpo in Ninja Gaiden. But: your distinction on using Suzaku vs. Saorise is really insightful in terms of two distinct ways to play this build. I don't know if you invented this yourself or if it was inspired by various sources, but well-done, MO.

Saoirse is pronounced "sir-sha" Also try the spirit from Nobunaga, Tengen Kujaku, his first ability gives u a buff depending on ur stance High for more damage, mid for more defence and low for faster KI Regeneration u can actually use all buffs by switching the stance after u hit one enemy, so it takes 3 hits and u have all three buffs if u switch around u can keep every buff up, but even only one of them activ is very nice!

If I could give you a recommendation it would be to replace Kusanagi Tsurugi with the Katana belonging to that set, that way you can free up an accessory slot then annd use an Accessory with Attack Damage Reduction (Critical) to replace the Yasakani Magatama, the Sword belonging to that set is GUARANTEED to have fire damage on it when you forge it, first of all, but if you also roll Life Drain 19 (or along those levels) on it, preferably on a specific stance, you can keep yourself in the higher areas of Critical health without ever needing to trigger suzaku or use any healing effects at all, just swap to the stance in question and go nuts, please note that if you have Mid Stance Life Drain you will continually heal while Living Weapon is active and Suzaku is worse when you are not in a critical health. Another thing is that ALL the Critical Passives in the different weapon skill tree are active no matter what weapon you use, so with 2 accessories with Attack Damage Reduction (Critical) together with the one you have on your armor set will put you on the Attack Damage Reduction Cap as it will START at 85%+ if you grab the Attack Damage Reduction (critical) Passive from the Axe Tree Damage Reduction while in a critical state, I myself are currently sitting pretty on 87.7% and can probably get it higher. This goes for the other critical effects as well and they will stack with whatever Critical effects you have going on your equipment, ADDITIVELY.

Dude this video is the reason i was able to beat the game. Well i dont use the fanatic set but just the guardian spirit u suggested is nuts, i always get my ass kicked in this game and with this spirit thats pretty much the point. It definately is like dark souls ring bevause u become very powerful at critical.
