**HOW TO GET GEAR**
I basically explain how to get everything in the video, but here once more, futsunushi is revenant exclusive, meaning it only drops from revenants. The revenant must be wearing an ethereal gear piece not apart of a standard set, besides "Grace of x". Their gear drops, it turns into Grace of futsunushi instead. Tatenashi turds will kinda ruin your chances since nearly everyone is wearing that set in some form. For weapon, it actually can be any "grace of", you don't need amaterasu per say, though its BiS. Just find a sword with iai star effect that is a grace of, then match your range weapons to be of the same set so you get the 13% ccd bonus. This is harder to get since you'll be relying heavily on rng. You could get lucky, or it could take you days, or even weeks. God Speed. Fanatic can be forged. Again, doesn't need to be ethereal, but must be the helmet.
**EXTRA THOUGHTS**
Can't really call this the best sword build given its apparent defensive weakness (although you can be immortal in most battles), though I chuckle at other builds thinking their the strongest. Nothing will reach this high of damage besides maybe lumber chop or some confusion build, in which they already lose since they're too slow. Iai with futsu is too strong.
This took a lot of time to make. Futsunushi is a pain to get. The sword is a pain to get. Everything is overkill. So if you wanted to make a psuedo-Exodia, then you can hash together whatever sets you have and just follow the rest for more than likely enough damage to one shot stuff given most things have under 100k HP. You could go full fanatic which will give comparable damage most likely, not like the rest of its effects matter though. But so long as you can dash attack every 4 seconds or so, nothing matters against this build. Everything is dead with one iai after a dash atk with x2. The nullify weaken melee wpns bonus is actually a godsend. I can't imagine what a 7 slot higher base damage sword would do, if you triggered weaken torso from the dash attack....Crazy, maybe I'll post a vid one day if I ever find a 7 slot with star effect.

Hey PWARGaming, great video as always but i think ill skip this one hehehe im still having with nintusu build with tonfa.. modified version of your build but i am looking for different build now. one armor set that always get my interest is the "fanatics" the one with "all special effects 50% when critical" is there a build that revolves around that set? the closest i can see is your odachi build but its more like living weapon build ...im level 360 btw.

fanatic is a top tier set, but yah usually most people use it with lw since critical is rather dangerous, and part of the appeal of fanatic is being more tanky than other critical setups since special effects with "received attack damage critical" boost damage reduction up, so your lw will be stronger. Can't go wrong with it.

I'm wareing a full 3 armor ( Tatenashi) in Nioh but it seems that toughness is disappeared and every my action is interrupted by any of the enemy's attack, even the smallest one. I missed something or it was changed the way it works?

Me and my buddy love your builds, we always get excited when you post one. I'm currently working on this build. I'm pretty close I just need the three pieces of Ameterasu gear. However, I wanted to ask how rare Nullify Damage (Dash-Attack) is? I had it on a previous sword, I then got a better one. But now I'm having trouble rolling nullify damage on it. I tried both gloves and swords and I'm getting no luck. I've gone through millions of money just to try to get it on my new weapon to no avail.

Glad you guys like my content :) is the sword/gloves ethereal? dash/evade only roll on ethereal gear. For weapon, i believe you can only have one dash. You can temper them on if you're not getting lucky with reforging manually. To reset temper tables, either reforge 3 stats at the same time (useful for new gear), OR, just use an umbracite, and it'll reset the tables to new stats to get, keep doing this until dash atkx2/nullify shows up. hope that helps!

Hey pwar. Is it okay if I use an ethereal Oninamida Muramasa with iai star effect? I tempered it for CCD 20%,CTA Dex A+ and Final blow damage. It has paralysis for the status boost too. I run an iga build and cleared WoTN but I wanna try this out too

Thanks for the great vid. I was planning on making a build for quick draw. I'm not the most skilled player. I'm ok though. What is a good sword build that does decent damge without all the situation tatics? Right now I'm wearing Tate gear with Todo, fanatic helm for LW every now and then, I have a very good Nami, iga sword to replenish ninja perks.

tbh, if you don't plan to go full tate and tanky stuff like that, you'd best stick to nullify damage builds instead since any and everything else will get slayed no matter the armor your wear or even life. If it's not a high health with damage reduction build, and even those can get hit for some 30% life from a single boss hit, from what i heard, so idk. I don't really pay attention to what others do, so I can only go off my own builds/experience, and most of my builds aren't updated since I ain't got that kind of time.

Did any one else recognize that helmet ? The design of the helmet is based upon the real-life "Horned Helmet" of Henry VIII, which is part of the Royal Armouries' Collection. Also if any one is a Dark Souls 1 fan you might remember this helm as Helm of the Wise from the adventurers set xD

I think the nerf will come against atk x2 somehow rather than anything else used here. futsunushi is maybe 18% more damage compared to full jpn bravest, but only applies towards a certain skill so its fine. Still pretty silly they continually give the best/strongest/overused skills more damage rather than underused skills (like did iai really need more damage? Did sign of the cross really need a star effect? etc).

PWARGaming yeah they could have used these star effects and new set bonuses to give some love to other abilities. But that would probably require more hands on time with these dlc than they are putting in. It definitely gets old spamming the same skill exclusively just to have relevant damage in endgame

I mean, you don't need to be in critical for this build, you can get 5th amaterasu piece instead of fanatic, and use carnage+steel talisman. You just won't be as op, which you have a TON of leeway as far as this build goes since I'm killing enemies 2-5x over the amount needed. But in general, axe builds are go-to for non lw/critical. Something like my buzzsaw build is nice for demon, potentially wise as well. You also can't go wrong with sign of the cross builds which I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding.

crimson will, two sword master mission thing in omi region (where you fight along that guy), and become thy enemy were all the best as far as many graves in early part of the maps go.

when you hold iai/circle, use thumb to press triangle (WHILE STILL holding r1+circle/iai) and it'll put you in high stance if you did it right.

Hey pwar I have a problem I have gotten 350,000 a few times I haven't changed anything but I can't seem to ever get it anymore. I'm basing it all off the same first enemy on restless spirits everything is the same an I don't think I'm running out of the x2 and I hold iai draw all the way till it lets go. do you have any tips that can help me get the x2 every time an the most dmg every time?

Dumb question but I got my lai katana. It has Fam and CCD, but has locked fire damage. How do I get the remaining stats. They aren't available through tempering. Like Heart and nullify damage dash attack. Was gonna make Night Rain but saw this. And do you think this could be coupled with the new General set?

well rng if you're reforging. Reforging 3 stats at a time resets temper tables, otherwise you need to use an umbracite to change the tables in tempering menu, keep spamming that until your desired stat shows up. I usually just reforge for those things though (except cta's, most of the time). Kigetsu needs 3 pieces for its 4pc bonus (in other words you can't have both futsu and kigetsu), otherwise, i suppose you can use its 2 pc for ccd damage, but it's not that great for an alternative to my setup.

Hey @PWARgaming I have the dash attack nullify damage buff on my arms yet when I perform it and get the buff I get killed. Is there something I'm not getting about how it works? You dash-attack and receive a temporary buff that nullifies damage from attacks except projectiles, right?

dash = holding x, so you gotta hold x while attacking, and moving, at the same time. Try practicing against a skeleton or bandit with no other buffs, that way you can see the icon pop up when you actually do it. It's actually really simple. Also be careful of yokai realms, they'll drain the 4-5 seconds it last to practically 1 second (to which I recommend kekkai talismans instead of water talismans).

Is your dual sword build, the blender still viable? Or with the new dlcs is there something better for them? If it isnt could u make another dual sword build i really wanna play with duals but need a good build to do so

I don't think windstorm is that viable anymore due to the nerf, but I haven't fiddled with it. For dual swords sotc builds are literally everywhere and what most people made at start of dlc, I'm sure you can find one on youtube. My dual sword builds are old and probably not optimal for way of the wise.

Well luckily for me one of my first ethereals was a star Iai quickdraw sword. Right now just running a all divine lumber chop build because i am just now learning fustu is a revenant drop fml. At least i can 1 shot the revenants too and i dont have to rely on spirits and just run washi and spider for lots of luck and luckbringer talisman.

Hey project, I'm having some issues with damage output and I'm really stumped at the moment. I'm level 434 with a ethereal kaikunigo level 250(+26) with started iai and copied the same stats all throughout. I've rewatched your videos many times to make sure every stat is right but in marobashi I've been getting 130k-273k max for damage. I do maybe 1k less damage for attack on the stat page with the levels but I'm not sure if that enough would make that big of a difference? Perhaps I need to bring up the weapon higher? I did find found two differences which is equipment weight damage a+. I've rerolled many times and kept only getting c+, is it just rng? Also my clans in todo because it has been for a bit. Could those two things be the 100k difference? Been stumped for bit.

well less damage will definitely contribute to doing less, often times a small difference could actually chain react other stuff to mean a lot less (or more), especially if you're missing other components. 1k difference in stat page sounds too odd though, you're only +4 away from being the same as my weapon, so how is it that you're 2.2k on character stat page? I would say that's a HUGE difference, even 400 less atk could result in way less output. As for EWDB being A+, you can get A+ (or even AA- in change to attack's case) by reforging 3 stats at same time on ethereals. You'll roll max roll's anytime you do that, but you have to reforge 3 at a time. No other way, otherwise you'll just get A or say equipment drop rate's for example, 4.9%, instead of 5%. Small difference, don't think it makes a huge difference to lose even 1k. Also marobashi numbers will kinda mix if you're not extremely close, directly in front of them. I often time will do less damage if I don't position myself right (example the spear guy clip in first marobashi clip).

PWARGaming actually my damage output is 3165 on stat page so it's only 114 less then yours. Sorry I was up really late trying to figure this out so I got the number mixed up. So it actually makes even less sense then before....Completely puzzled. I have noticed you have to be really close in front of them. Like almost touching them. When I stand little too far I'm doing 150k when almost touching them 273ishk. Could the clan possibly make that big of a difference? And the eqwb being lower? And I couldn't get equipment weight lowered on a few but I think you said that was to save points on stam. I guess I'll have to keep testing. Thanks so much for the eqwb tip!! No wonder I couldn't get a or aa. Super super helpful.

Hey there, I've been farming the back area of Spirit Stone huntress for the past 2 days, 10-11 hour straight grinds, and finally got one. Only it's got Iai QuickDraw: I, instead of just Iai QuickDraw. Is this going to effect it at all? Because I'm really not up for farming for another one again haha

??? what do you mean? the star effect says "iai quickdraw: I"?? idk, never heard of that. if you haven't reforged/tempered/upgraded anything yet for it, i'd reforge all non-damage stats real quick, get a similar sword atk wise without star effect and damage stats, and test the difference to see if the star effects your iai quickdraw. Would suck if you had to reset using reincarnation and settle for iai quickdraw I, instead of III or whatever it is.

PWARGaming I mean, your sword just has (Iai QuickDraw) on the skill damage mod, but mine has (Iai Quickdraw: I) instead. I didn't know whether or not that'd effect the damage at all. Although I'd guess it wouldn't seeing as the first QuickDraw skill is the only one to do damage, and II and III are just bonuses. I'll have a look around for another one while I play to see if it's different.

I got my sword in Crimson Will (907) and it dropped with the star skill. Maybe try farming revenants there and hope you get a drop. You could always befriend someone that has the gear you want. Friends graves always drop 6 items from what i hear. I'd help you with gear, but i don't exactly know how farming graves work with friends.

Why Tengen over Kara-Jishi? Does extraction count as a buff for Kuroda? Also those hatchets are cool, but their damage against full life targets is wasted in a dash attack setup, as the initial hit to trigger nullify and x2 won't let you get it on the actual sign of the cross. Would be better to just get ethereal Futatsu-mei's imo.

kara-jishi buff is only after you use AND hit with a skill (which you don't), tengen just needs amrita earned in high stance to give equal damage. It also has arguably better/relevenant other stats for this build. And yes, all buffs should count towards kuroda, if not, then we get plenty of other buffs to reach maximum (tengen buff, leeching buff, amrita on helm atk buff, x2 buff, nullify buff, etc etc).

One Slash Man! Love the build, really cool. It's a shame I'll never be able to get it. The RNG in this game is insane and not fun to do. I spent over like 7 FULL days getting smithing texts, believing smithing to be the way to get the best gear, because of fucking course it should be. Then Ethereals come out...

Since you're already in the critical state most of the time, you can use the torso armor effect (no guard break critical) to stay immovable all the time as long as you're in critical state, instead of using Hermit Talisman.

Does change to attack make a big difference on the weapon i have almost everything except that and i only mange to hit arround 100k?

eh, depends. It adds maybe 100-250 atk onto weapon, though I can't remember. If CTA spirit A from amaterasu added only 111 atk at 99, maybe its the same for weapon? Or maybe they're different? Stopped paying attention as I always get cta right after getting ccd 20% on weapon, from temper or inheritables. Either way my weapon is 3.2k atk, and its one of the weakest base swords, so people should be able to surpass it. Melee mastery adds a lot of atk too, near 100 on this character. There's other factors that play a big part too in damage though, not just from gear but from gameplay too. What I always say is, start from the bottom or the top, then work your way in reverse order, in matching as close as possible your gear to mine. I would test against marobashi since yokai realms will kinda screw test sometimes (the first marobashi clip, not the one with hino-enma helm.).

rng? If I'm looking for a nice charm, I do trail of the master method only picking up the type of charm I'm looking for (almost always magatama and prayer beads.). So there's no "place" to get a similar one.

ethereals, new rarity in way of the wise. Can appear on any armor/weapon that isn't apart of a set. So random bandit pants can be ethereal with a set bonus (without ethereal they won't have a set bonus), but kingo armor will always stay kingo. So it gives gear that didn't have a set bonus, a set bonus now.

Can you explain how backwave/tempest work? Does it work on only humanoid enemies? And how do you trigger a timely guard.

I tend to not getting the timing too well, but its blocking just before an enemy hits you, then pressing the block button again (so not holding it) will do the tempest thing. I mess up the tempest part a lot. Only works on humans I believe, maybe small/normal skeletors too.

nah, dmg is too high in wotn, too cheap. any wpns without huge aoe will die a lot from just getting swarmed. better off doing my new ryu hayabusa build for the back up of using lw kusa as an option,and the iai is still pretty strong with star effect against single enemies.

it can be, maybe lose amaterasu chest piece for a daichi pc for even more dmg, can also be used in lw if you aim with a ranged wpn quickly then use the skill, its a bit tricky at first. can't be used with iai though. dmg should be a lot if you're not annoyed by having to do that tech every time.

Hi. So I have followed your video for this build but I'm not doing the same damage as in this video. Don't know what else is missing. Highest damage I can do with my lai strike is 5k. With buffs it goes like 7k only.

way of the wise, ethereals only, sadly. as far as bare minimum, you just need ethereal sword and gloves for dash atk x2+nullify damage. I'd say those are more important than the armor setups. Obviously you'll deal less damage, but you don't need this much damage anyways.

luck. Trust me, the drop rates are BAD, really bad. 9/10 revs will drop just divine fragments (green text materials).

I feel horribly underleveled and can't even beat the first DLC boss, Date shigezane. This build looks fun but then again he's level 900...I'm around 120 just having beaten the first NG. What's a fun build that would get me through the rest of this game? I beat the main campaign using a purely back attack build which doesn't work too well against Date.

I have something better than that, potentially the best setup if my test from early stages hold true for upgraded gear/damage/lvls. You definitely want susano ranged weapons.

susano drop is so much rare than others. farming for 5 days now still got 1 susano.
